Mackoff Doubles Through Turner

Level 27 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

Jonas Mackoff got his final 990,000 in the middle preflop holding {A-Spades}{J-Clubs}, and he was racing against the {9-Spades}{9-Clubs} of Daniel Turner. The window card shot Mackoff into the lead, coming down {A-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{3-Spades}. The {6-Diamonds} hit the turn, and the river might have given Mackoff a bit of a scare, but it was the {8-Clubs} not a nine.

Paul Senat
Paul Senat

Joining the action on the {K-Clubs}{5-Spades}{3-Spades}{6-Spades} turn with around 800,000 in the middle, Paul Senat announced all in out of the small blind for his last 730,000 and Jonathan Dwek quickly called in the big blind. The camera crews quickly rushed to the table while the cards were tabled to see Senat already drawing dead.

Senat: {10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}
Dwek: {K-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}

No card in the deck could avoid the elimination of Senat, who was officially eliminated in 70th place for $101,444 as soon as the {2-Diamonds} river completed the board.

Salas Wins a Monster Pot

Level 27 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

Scott Stewart opened from middle position for 160,000. Big blind Damian Salas three-bet to 550,000 and the decision was back on Stewart. He four-bet to 1.2 million and Salas fired back with a five-bet to 2,030,000, leaving himself 2,330,000 behind. Stewart called.

The flop came {4-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{4-Hearts} and Salas bet 605,000, leaving 1,725,000 back. Stewart shoved all in rather quickly and Salas instantly called.

Salas: {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}
Stewart: {10-Hearts}{7-Hearts}

The {Q-Clubs} on the turn and {2-Spades} on the river were blanks and Salas doubled.

"Come on!' Salas said. "Wow! Sick flop! My god, wow!"

Shawn Daniels Eliminated in 72nd Place ($101,444)

Level 27 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante
Shawn Daniels

Christian Pham has been on a tear as of late, taking down several pots preflop, a few on the flop, and steadily rebuilding his stack after being down to just over 2 million less than an hour ago. Shawn Daniels was one of the unfortunate victims of Pham's heater as Pham just eliminated Daniels from the tournament.

Christian Pham opened with a raise to 260,000 from the hijack and action folded around to Shawn Daniels who was in the small blind. He moved all in for 1,680,000 and Pham went into the tank. He tanked for several minutes before the clock was called. Pham tanked down until there was only 10 seconds left, then called with a covering stack.

Pham: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}
Daniels: {9-Clubs}{9-Hearts}

The flop was an exciting one when it came down {A-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{10-Hearts}, giving Pham a better pair, but Daniels a flush draw. The turn was the {J-Spades} though, not improving Daniels, and the {3-Clubs} didn't improve him either, so he was eliminated from the tournament in 72nd place. Pham's heater has him now sitting just under 8 million chips.

The flop came down {7-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}, giving Goldberg flush and straight outs. The turn was the {5-Clubs}, giving Goldberg the lead with a pair of fives. However, the river was the {6-Hearts} and gave both players a seven-high straight to chop the pot.

Ian Johns Eliminated in 73rd Place ($85,482)

Level 27 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante
Ian Johns
Ian Johns

Ian Johns raised to 180,000 from the cutoff and Bryan Piccioli called from the button. The flop came {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}{j-Hearts} and Johns led out for 260,000. Piccioli made the call and the turn was the {5-Clubs}.

Johns checked this time and Piccioli quickly fired out a bet of 600,000. Johns thought for a moment and then pushed all of his stacks into the middle for 1,700,000. Piccioli didn't waste any time calling and tabled {a-Clubs}{j-Spades}. Johns was behind with {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}, but had many outs to double up.

The river landed the {4-Spades} and Johns bricked all of his outs. Piccioli celebrated after scooping a big pot and Johns left the tournament area after being eliminated.
