Mikey Wangh Sees the Straight Late

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Mikey Wangh opened and then Dan Heimiller three-bet to 72,000.

Wangh then moved all in and when Heimiller got a count he heard it was 178,000 more. Heimiller thought for several minutes before saying he hated to call with his hand but felt he had to.

Wangh: {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts}
Heimiller: {5-Hearts}{5-Spades}

The board ran out {8-Hearts}{2-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{q-Clubs}

The dealer spotted the rivered straight for Wangh before anyone else and a surprised and relieved Wangh got a double-up and took his seat again.
