Valerstein Chipping Up

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Akash Malik moved all in from middle position for 184,000 and action folded around to Roman Valerstein in the small blind. After a bit of thought, he three-bet, the big blind folded, and he and Malik tabled their hands.

Valerstein: {K-Hearts}{K-Clubs}
Malik: {A-Hearts}{8-Hearts}

Valerstein had a massive lead with his kings and he extended it on the {K-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} flop when he hit top set. Neither the {2-Spades} turn nor {3-Diamonds} river was any help to Malik and Valerstein took the pot to send him to the cage.
