The third and final scheduled day of play in Event #74: The Little One for One Drop $1,111 No-Limit Hold'em begins at 2 p.m. local time Saturday. Out of 4,391 total entries across three separate starting flights in this event, just 100 players remain, each one guaranteed to cash for at least $3,454 and all with their eyes on the top prize of $528,316 and WSOP gold. Leading the way is Daniel Dizenzo with 1,345,000 and nipping at his heels are Alexandros Papadopoulos (1,200,000) and Luigi Knoppers (1,124,000). They’re joined by several more familiar faces, including Dan Heimiller (629,000), James Calderaro (585,000), Jean Gaspard (578,000), Matt Berkey (423,000), and Matt Affleck (347,000).
This year’s One Drop events were a phenomenal success. Every entry across both events opted for the donation, raising $487,401 via this tournament and an overall total of $992,000. To learn more about the charity and its work to bring clean water to communities all over the globe, click here.
The last hundred players are scheduled to play until a new champion is crowned and play will consist of 60-minute levels with 15-minute breaks every two levels. A one-hour dinner break is scheduled to take place after 6.5 levels at approximately 9 p.m. local time.
