Martinelli Dispatches of Vukovic

Level 13 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Mladen Vukovic
Mladen Vukovic

Ebon Bokody opened with a raise from under the gun to 8,500. Luke Martinelli called in the hijack seat and Mladen Vukovic called in the big blind.

The flop was {10-Hearts}{7-Spades}{3-Spades} and Vukovic checked. Bokody put out a bet of 10,000. Martinelli called before Vukovic moved all in for 57,600. Bokody folded quickly but Martinelli tanked for a bit, then called.

Mladen Vukovic: {9-Spades}{8-Diamonds}
Luke Martinelli: {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}

Martinelli made a correct call with ace-high, but Vukovic had plenty of outs with any pair or straight card. Unfortunately for him, the turn was the {10-Clubs} and the river was the {A-Spades} so Martinelli stayed in the lead to take down the pot.

Jiang Blasts the River on Dhingra

Level 13 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

In a confrontation between the small and big blind, Gautam Dhingra led out on a flop of {J-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{4-Spades} for 14,000. Sosia Jiang, who was the big blind called.

The turn was the {A-Clubs} and Dhingra put together a bet of 34,000. Jiang called again.

On the {6-Diamonds} river, Dhingra finally slowed down and checked. Jiang announced a bet of 90,000 and Dhingra folded before she could even get the chips in the pot.

Both players now sit with roughly 270,000 chips.

Sam Higgs

Luke Martinelli raised from the hijack and was called by Sam Higgs on the button. Jason Pritchard then raised to 29,000 from the small blind. Martinelli and Higgs called.

The flop came {7-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{8-Spades} and Pritchard checked. Martinelli bet 35,000. Higgs and Pritchard called.

The turn brought the {9-Clubs} and Pritchard checked. Martinelli moved all in. Higgs followed almost immediately with less behind. Pritchard mucked his hand.

Luke Martinelli: {j-Clubs}{10-Clubs}
Sam Higgs: {10-Spades}{6-Spades}

The nine on the turn had given both players their gut-shot straight with Martinelli making the queen-high straight to take the lead.

The {8-Diamonds} completed the board and Higgs was sent to the rail whilst Martinelli was boosted to the chip lead.

Mladen Vukovic opened with a raise from middle position to 6,500 and Robert Spano three-bet on the button to 16,500. Action folded back to Vukovic who moved all in with a covering stack for roughly 51,000 effective and Spano quickly called.

Mladen Vukovic: {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}
Robert Spano: {A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}

Lynskey Busted by Vukovic

Level 12 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Alex Lynskey
Alex Lynskey

A preflop confrontation between the small blind, Mladen Vukovic, and the big blind, Alex Lynskey, led to Lynskey being all in and at risk with a slightly shorter stack.

Mladen Vukovic: {10-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}
Alex Lynskey: {Q-Hearts}{10-Spades}

Vukovic was behind but the flop came down {7-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{2-Hearts}, giving him the lead over Lynskey.

"Can we hold?" Vukovic asked no one in particular.

The turn was the {J-Clubs} and the river was the {5-Hearts} so Vukovic did hold to send Lynskey to the rail.

"And that boys, is how you win tournaments," Vukovic said.

"You win your all-ins?" Sam Higgs asked laughing.

Mirzikinian Pips Karamalikis

Level 12 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Michael Hahn called from under the gun before Warwick Mirzikinian raised to 10,000 from the hijack. Jonathan Karamalikis called from the small blind. Hahn folded.

Both players checked the {7-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{j-Clubs} flop before the {10-Hearts} dropped on the turn. Karamalikis bet 13,000. Mirzikinian called.

No action followed the {a-Diamonds} completing the board before Karamalikis tabled his {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds} for two pair. Mirzikinian then revealed his {a-Hearts}{9-Spades} and took down the pot with a higher two-pair.
