Not a Hot Start for Hargrave

A player in middle position opened with a raise to 300 and Johnathan Hargrave called on the button. The big blind called as well and it was three-way to a flop.

The flop was and the big blind checked. The player in middle position made it 525. Hargrave called while the big blind folded.

Both players checked on the turn and the came on the river. There, the middle position player bet again, making it 1,025. Hargrave didn't waste too long to call. The middle position player showed down though for kings and tens and that would earn him the pot as Hargrave tapped the table and mucked.

It's not a great start for Hargrave, who finished 5th in the $500 Opening Event here at The Star Sydney for $29,487, but he's still got plenty of chips to work with here on Day 1D.
