Alex Lynskey Starts Day 3 as the Chip Leader

Welcome to Day 3 of the WSOP International Circuit Sydney Main Event where cards will go in the air at 12:30pm local time.

After six long days of poker, it is Alex Lynskey with the chip lead after collecting 3,055,000 chips through his first two days. Lynskey’s current total live earnings are $3,426,786, which nestles him in 9th place on the Australian All Time money list. A victory in this event would see him rocket to 6th place overpassing some great names in Kahle Burns, Mel Judah and Michael Addamo.

Rounding out the top three include John Sormi (2,735,000) and Ray Bryant (2,355,000). Other notables still in the field are Ricky Kroesen, WSOPC High Roller champion Luke Martinelli, Joel Dodds, last years WSOPC Sydney main event runner-up Michael Fraser, Stevan Chew and Rob Damelian.

Today the final 27 players will play down to a final table in the poker room at The Star in Sydney. Play will restart at Level 23 with the blinds at 15,000/30,000, with a 5,000 ante. There will be a 10-minute break after every two levels.
