Issa Doesn't Believe

Level 5 : 150/300, 25 ante

On a flop of {a-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{4-Clubs} Paul Issa checked from the small blind before his opponent bet 775 from middle position. Issa then raised to 2,150 and was called.

The turn brought the {k-Diamonds} and Issa bet 1,700. His opponent raised to 4,250. Issa snap-called.

Issa checked as the {9-Hearts} completed the board sending his opponent into the tank. Almost a minute passed before a bet of 11,500 found its way into the middle. Issa deliberated for a moment then called. He then mucked his hand in frustration when his opponent tabled {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts} for top two pair and the winning hand.

Mitchell Channeling His Inner Brunson

Level 5 : 150/300, 25 ante

Five players paid the minimum to see the flop come {3-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{10-Spades}.

Both blinds and the player in the hijack checked to William Mitchell in the cutoff who bet 700. The action folded back around to the player in the hijack who called.

The turn fell the {6-Hearts} and the player in the hijack check-called another bet of 1,025 from Mitchell.

Both players then opted to check as the {9-Hearts} completed the board. The player in the hijack tabled {9-Spades}{8-Spades} for a rivered pair of nines but it wouldn't be enough as Mitchell flipped over his {10-Hearts}{2-Spades} for a higher pair and the winning hand.

Goldberg Eliminates One

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante
David Goldberg
David Goldberg

David Goldberg raised to 1,100 from under the gun and was called by Wai Wong in middle position. The player to Wong's left moved all in for 6,625 before the decision fell back on Goldberg. He called. Wong thought for a minute and followed with a call as well.

Both Goldberg and Wong checked the {2-Clubs}{8-Spades}{6-Clubs} flop before the {6-Clubs} dropped on the turn. Goldberg swiftly moved all in for 20,600 and waited as Wong agonized over his decision. He eventually folded and stood up from the table before the other two players tabled their cards.

David Goldberg: {6-Diamonds}{6-Spades}
Opponent: {j-Spades}{j-Hearts}

Goldberg dodged the {k-Hearts} on the river to see him awarded the pot with a set of sixes sending his opponent to the rail.

McKenzie Cruising

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

Jesse McKenzie has worked his way up to almost double starting stack after being as short as 525 in chips early in the day's proceedings.

In a recent hand, the player under the gun raised to 1,100 and was called by McKenzie in the small blind.

Both players checked the {10-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{8-Spades} before the {5-Clubs} dropped on the turn. McKenzie placed a bet totalling 1,000 forward which was enough to take down the pot after his opponent mucked his hand.

McKenzie flashed a {j-} before collecting the pot.
