Starr Doubles Through Lowrie

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Action was four-way on a flop of {J-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{10-Hearts} and Andrew Star put out a bet of 40,000 from the big blind. Players quickly folded back to Zaz Lowrie in the small blind and he moved all in for 126,000 effective with the covering stack on Starr. Starr quickly called.

Andrew Starr: {Q-Hearts}{9-Hearts}
Zac Lowrie: {A-Hearts}{7-Spades}

Lower would've normally been in ok shape with his pair and a flush draw, but a few of his outs were actually dead as they would make Starr a straight flush. The turn was the {K-Clubs} which changed nothing and the river was the {J-Diamonds} so with that, Starr earned a full double up.

Chao Duan Eliminated in (17th Place $4,688)

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Action was already in the river and Chao Duan looked to have moved in before the flop. He was up against Graeme Putt and Aaron Li who had heads-up action on the side.

The board was {K-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{7-Spades}{6-Hearts} and Putt was first to act on the river. Putt put out a bet of 35,000 which Li called after giving it a couple seconds of thought. Putt turned up his {10-Spades}{10-Clubs} for two pair but Li had him beat with {J-Diamonds}{J-Clubs} for a better pair. Duan was forced to turn up his {A-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts} which was no good so he was sent to the rail in 17th place.

For his run, Duan will take home $4,668.

Zac Lowrie: {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}
Richard Kellett: {a-}{8-}

The board ran out {10-Hearts}{j-Spades}{q-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} giving Lowrie broadway on the flop resulting in Kellett being eliminated.

Putt Doubles Up

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Aaron Li opened with a raise to 24,000 and action folded to the button where Graeme Putt moved all in for 92,000. Action folded back to Li who asked for a count before calling.

Aaron Li: {Q-Hearts}{J-Spades}
Graeme Putt: {8-Spades}{8-Clubs}

The flop came down {9-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} giving putt a set, but giving Li a gutshot straight draw for a few outs. The turn was the {Q-Spades} and the river was the {K-Diamonds} though and that meant that Putt would double up to right around 200,000 chips while Li dropped to about 440,000.

Daniel Lo Eliminated in 14th Place ($4,668)

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Michael Fraser opened with a raise to 25,000 from under the gun and next to act, Daniel Lo moved all in for 197,000. Action folded to the button where Brett Trevillian thought for a while, then moved all in over the top for about 500,000. Action folded back to Fraser who quickly released.

"You're way ahead," Lo said before the hands were turned up.

Daniel Lo: {A-Diamonds}{9-Spades}
Brett Trevillian: {J-Spades}{J-Diamonds}

The board ran out {10-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{4-Clubs}{7-Hearts} and that meant that Lo would be eliminated as he failed to catch up. Trevillian took down the pot and chipped up to around 750,000. For his run, Lo will take home $4,668.

Hettinger Takes From Howearth

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Timo Hettinger raised to 26,000 from the cutoff and was called by Matthew Howearth on the button as well as Michael Asad in the big blind.

The flop came {q-Spades}{6-Spades}{10-Spades} and the action checked to Howearth who bet 41,000. Asad mucked. Hettinger called.

Both players checked the {8-Clubs} on the turn before the {q-Hearts} completed the board.

Hettinger quickly bet 95,000. Howearth thought for over a minute before he committed the chips to make a call.

Hettinger tabled {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs} for trip queens and took down the pot after Howearth mucked his hand.
