Hassan Flops Quads to Send Lowrie to the Short Stack

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Brett Trevillian opened with a raise to 50,000 from the hijack. Action folded to the button where Zac Lowrie made it 185,000. The small blind folded before Huss Hassan in the big blind moved all in for 639,000. Trevillian folded but Lowrie called quickly.

Huss Hassan: {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}
Zac Lowrie: {A-Spades}{K-Spades}

It was all over on the flop when it came {Q-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{4-Hearts} leaving Lowrie drawing dead immediately. The turn was the {4-Diamonds} and the river was the {5-Spades} but they were just formalities.

The stacks were counted and after all was said and done, Lowrie has Hassan covered by just a bit and he survived with about 35,000 chips. Hassan meanwhile vaulted over the million chip mark and sit with about 1,350,000.

Zac Lowrie Eliminated in 7th Place ($11,528)

Zac Lowrie
Zac Lowrie

Zac Lowrie moved all in for his remaining 27,000 from middle position and was called by Huss Hassan in the cutoff, Michael Fraser on the button, and Brett Trevillian and Timo Hettinger in the blinds.

"Let's get him boys," joked Hettinger, as he made the call, before the five players watched the flop come {3-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}.

All four live players checked before the {a-Clubs} dropped on the turn. Trevillian checked. Hettinger bet 70,000. Each of his opponents folded.

Timo Hettinger: {q-Spades}{3-Clubs}
Zac Lowrie: {q-Spades}{8-Diamonds}

Lowrie was drawing dead against Hettinger's trips and watched as the meaningless {5-Diamonds} completed the board before hitting the rail.
