Huynh Eliminated by Kardum

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

According to Kresimir Kardum all the money got in preflop between him and Danny Huynh. Huynh was holding {A-}{K-} while Kardum held {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}. The board bricked out for Huynh and he was sent to the rail in 25th place. Kardum took down the pot and chipped up to over 300,000.

Despite not cashing in this event, it's been a good week for Hunyh who won the $1,650 Pot-Limit Omaha Six-Max Event earlier in the week for $78,548.

Kresimir Kardum opened with a raise to 12,000 and Peter Aristidou moved all in for 35,500 in the next seat over. Action folded back to Kardum who called.

Ng Sent to the Rail by Mao

Jack Ng moved all in on the turn with a board showing {A-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs} for just over 30,000 chips. Simon Mao called putting Ng at risk.

The river was the {K-Diamonds} spelling defeat for Ng who hits the rail in 26th place.

Mao Shoves on Shen

Contantine Harach opened with a raise to 15,000 and Simon Mao called next to act. Qi Shen called several seats over from the blinds and it was on to a flop.

The flop was {Q-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds} and all three players checked.

The {6-Spades} came on the turn and action checked to Mao who had the latest position. He put out a bet of 12,000 and Shen decided to check-raise, making it 32,000. Harach escaped but Mao called.

The river was the {A-Hearts} and Shen continued with a bet of 40,000. Mao thought about it then moved all in for 44,500 more, 84,500 total. Shen thought for nearly a minute, then released allowing Mao to take down the pot.

Demlakian Busts as Wheldon Gets Lucky to Take Down a Big Pot

According to Ken Demlakian, he moved all in holding {K-}{10-} and Andrew Wheldon moved all in with {Q-}{Q-}. Nathan Zappia called both shoves with {A-}{A-} and it was off to the races.

The board would run out {J-}{J-}{8-}{10-}{9-} and Wheldon's queens made a straight on the river to take down a big pot, moving him over 300,000 chips and eliminating Demlakian from the tournament.

Mao and Shen Chop a Huge Pot

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Contantine Harach opened with a raise to 12,000 from under the gun and Simon Mao called next to act. Action folded around to Qi Shen who three-bet making it 45,000 on the button. Harach called. Mao then moved all in for 89,000 total. Shen dropped into the tank and thought for nearly two minutes before moving all in himself, making it 117,500 total. Harach folded, shrugging and showing his {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs} and leaving the other two players heads up.

The flop was good for Shen when it came {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{8-Diamonds} giving him a few extra outs to a flush but the board completed with {10-Spades} and hte {10-Hearts} putting two pair on the board. The two players who chop up Harach's chips with their ace-kickers.
