The final table is nine-handed, so we have three more eliminations to go before a final table is set. Dinner break is scheduled as soon as there are nine players remaining or 8:45pm local time... whichever comes first.

Breaking News!

Roland De Wolfe and Tony G have more in common than one might think, both ordering green teas.

At this point, I suggested to the TD that I'd pay good money to see the waitress bring one mug over with two straws.

The Bank Of Farnood

oooooh, that feels goooood
oooooh, that feels goooood
Word on the grapevine is that Sherkhan Farnood owns the Kabul Bank in Dubai and perhaps didn't require backers for this event.

He's obviously a very friendly banker, loaning out a chunk of chips to John Duthie and doubling up the EPT entrepreneur in the process.

With {A-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}, the Duthster had Farnood's {Q-Spades}{10-Clubs}{A-Spades}{2-Clubs} pipped pre-flop, and even more pipped on the {6-Spades}{9-Hearts}{J-Diamonds} flop.

A {7-Hearts} turn followed by a {9-Diamonds} river gave Duthie the winning hand with just one pair, avoiding the King or Eight that would have straightened Farnood's hand.
