Lee Nelson Eliminated by Kenny Tran

Lee Nelson
Lee Nelson
Kenny Tran opened the pot for 9,000 from middle position, Lee Nelson moved all in for 50,000 from the button and Tran called. Nelson turned over {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs} while Tran showed {K-Clubs}{K-Spades}. The flop was boffo for Tran-- {A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}, bringing him an instant full house. The turn was the {10-Spades}, the river was the {4-Hearts}, and Nelson shook his opponent's hand before heading for the rail.

After the hand, Tran was up to 145,000.

Patrick Jouven Survives an All-in

Because he wasn't called preflop. It was still a tense hand, as Patrick Jouven raised to 9k on the button and found Theo Jorgensen reraising to 27k out of the big blind. Jouven announced, "All in," before Jorgensen's chips had been reached for by the dealer, and he took it down -- but only after the kind of pause that brings players from other tables scurrying to see if they're on the bubble yet.

Other action on table Duke/Lindgren/Riisem has been restricted to a couple of checked-down hands and pots taken with preflop raises (mainly by Terry Cook).

The Mantis Strikes

Gary Jones raises from the cutoff.

Tino Lechich calls in the small blind.

Karl Mahrenholz reraises to 30k.

Jones calls.

Lechich calls.

Lechich stands up, turns with his back to he table and checks in the dark.

Flop: {5-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{10-Hearts}

Mahrenholz bets 50k.

Both men fold.

Folding a Flush Draw

Jamie Gold has dropped to 77k, last seen folding to a 20k bet from Dominic Kay with a {6-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{K-Clubs} board and 60k in the pot.

"I'm getting 3-to-1 and I'm folding," says Gold shaking his head. "Maybe if I'd acted quicker, but I know now that I'm not going to get paid if I hit."

"I was hoping you'd call," says Dominic.

"Yeah, but you're not hoping I make my flush," replies Jamie.

Pros on the Rail

Over at the featured TV table, it's not uncommon to see famous pros checking out the action. Phil Hellmuth stopped by earlier to mug for face time after his bustout and was given a chance to call the action. Todd Brunson was on the rail cheering on his friend Hoyt Corkins. Marco Traniello stopped by to see how Gus Hansen was doing. Kirk Morrison came over to check up on Daniel Negreanu. Lee "Final Table" Nelson has just come over only a few minutes after his elimination downstairs.

Deja Vu All Over Again

Theo Jorgensen gets some of his chips back
Theo Jorgensen gets some of his chips back
In a strange revisiting of the match-up which brought you the intro to the dinner break in the form of creating a new second spot on the chip leader ladder, Oyvind Riisem and Theo Jorgensen were just at it again. But this time, Jorgensen received a much-needed double up.

Button Jorgensen raised to 9,000 and big blind Riisem called. The flop came down: {7-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} Just like last time, Riisem checked to Jorgensen, who bet (17k) and then he calmly said, "All in." Just like last time, Jorgensen couldn't call quickly enough. And did he have the overpair, catching Riisem on a draw? Why, yes, just like last time.

Riisem: {9-Spades}{8-Spades}
Jorgensen: {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs}

Turn: {3-Diamonds}
River: {Q-Hearts}
