Chip Count: 1,231,000

The 24-year old Magnus Persson is a student, who makes a living on the side as a poker player. Persson played at the WSOP in Las Vegas this summer. He took 32nd place in the $10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha event. His only other major cashes came at the 2005 Barcelona Open, where he took 15th place in two different events. At one point, Persson held the chip lead on Day 4. He's not afraid to play big pots.

At the featured TV table on Day 4, he played back at the aggressive Theo Jorgensen on multiple occasions. In one instance, with about 100,000 in the pot, the flop was {8-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{4-Spades}. Jorgensen bet 60,000. Persson raised to 320,000. Jorgensen stood up and showed his hand...the {8-Clubs}{7-Clubs}...before he folded.

"I'm going to wait to see what you had on TV," said Jorgensen. "If I find out you bluffed me, I'm going to hunt you down, wherever you are, and beat you up."

"It wasn't a bluff," said Persson.

"Then show," responded Jorgensen.

Persson was about to flip over his cards, but he slowly tossed them into the muck.

Persson made the final table along with Theo Jorgensen, so it will be interesting to see if those two will cross paths once again. Persson is second in chips, not too far behind the chipleader Matt McCullough.
