Hand #40 - Daniel Negreanu

Bengt Sonnert has the button in Seat 4. Daniel Negreanu opens the pot with a raise to 38,000. Ivan Demidov makes the call from the big blind and the two go heads up to the {2-Spades} {K-Clubs} {7-Clubs} flop. Demidov checks, Negreanu makes a continuation bet and Demidov folds, giving Daniel his second pot of the day -- albeit a small one.

Hand #43 - Daniel Negreanu

Toni Hiltunen has the button in Seat 7. Daniel Negreanu raises to 38,000, Ivan Demidov calls from the cutoff, and Scott Fischman calls from the small blind. The flop is {Q-Diamonds} {8-Clubs} {4-Spades}. The action is checked around. The turn is the {6-Diamonds}. Fischman checks to Negreanu, who bets 90,000. Demidov calls and Fischman folds. The {8-Spades} lands on the river and both players check.

Negreanu turns up {J-Spades} {J-Diamonds} and wins the pot.

Norman Chad/Lon MacEachern Sighting

Newly arrived at the Empire Casino are ESPN hosts Norman Chad and Lon MacEachern, who are tucked away in the upstairs balcony, away from the prying eyes of the Pokerazzi. Both appear to be enjoying a nice lunch, nibbling away on sandwiches as they watch the action unfold.

Hand #48 - Ivan Demidov

Bengt Sonnert has the button in Seat 4. Action folds around the table to John Juanda in the small blind who completes the bet. Ivan Demidov then opts to exercise his option in the big, kicking it up another 24,000. Juanda makes a quick call and the two go heads up to the {Q-Hearts} {2-Spades} {5-Spades} flop.

A check-check sequence brings us to the turn -- the {3-Diamonds}. Juanda checks again and Demidov fires a bet of 44,000. Juanda lays it down and Demidov picks up his 12th pot of the day.
