Rouas Flushed With Success

Philippe Rouas has snuck into the chip lead, raking in a gigantic pot courtesy of Justin Smith.

Smith raised preflop from the cutoff and Rouas called from the big blind. Come the {Q-Hearts} {K-Hearts} {7-Hearts} flop, Rouas bet out 20,000 and, after a slight pause, Smith called. Another 50,000 from Rouas on the {3-Diamonds} turn, and after a rather longer interval this time, a call from Smith. Rouas checked the {J-Clubs} river and Smith very slowly went to bet 75,000 -- before his hand had left the chips, Rouas announced, "I call," and flipped {6-Hearts} {10-Hearts} for a rather nice flopped flush. As a result, Rouas appears to be our new chip leader on roughly 690,000.
