Akenhead Shown a Bluff

James Akenhead raised preflop from the button and Sandor Demjan called in the small blind. On the {3-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{Q-Spades} flop, Demjan checked, Akenhead continuation bet 38,000 and Demjan called.

Both players checked the {2-Diamonds} turn only for Demjan to lead out for 130,000 on the {8-Hearts} river. Akenhead seemed tempted, but ultimately folded.

Demjan showed {7-Hearts}{6-Spades}.

Konstantin Bücherl Out in 21st Place (£25,918)

Konstantin Brutal
Konstantin Brutal
Jason Mercier had already taken a pretty serious pot out of the hands of Matt Hawrilenko -- Mercier raised to 23,000, Hawrilenko made it 85,000 and then Mercier made it 384,000 to go. Hawrilenko folded.

So he was on around 600,000 when he raised to 24,000 under the gun on the last hand of the level and Steven Fung called from the button. Over to Konstantin Bücherl in the big blind, who moved all in for 207,000 more. Mercier called, Fung folded, and they were on their backs.

Mercier: {A-Spades} {J-Hearts}
Bücherl: {K-Spades} {K-Hearts}

Board: {6-Spades} {4-Spades} {10-Hearts} {10-Spades} {7-Spades}

Oh dear. As tablemate Tony Cousineau said, "Jason Mercier, ladies and gentlemen. So brutal."

Konstantin Bücherl becomes our 21st-place finisher, and Mercier is up to 860,000.
