Level 20 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Alexander Salabaschew and Roy Finlay tangle.
Alexander Salabaschew and Roy Finlay tangle.

Alexander Salabaschew raised from the small blind and Robert Finlay called in the big blind.

The flop was a very clubby looking {A-Clubs} {Q-Clubs} {5-Clubs} and after a 51,000 check-raise by Salabaschew, Roy Finlay moved all-in. For a second it looked like Salabaschew was arranging his chips to make the call but in the end he folded.

Casey Kastle Eliminated in 9th Place

Casey Kastle just couldn't get out of first gear today and eventually dwindled down to a stack with zero fold equity. Here are the final death knolls of the demise of the Kastle.

Kastle limps into the pot from the small blind leaving 50,000 behind. Azusa Maeda moves him all-in and Kastle folds his hand. Then Kastle find himself on the button and moves all-in holding {4-Clubs} {4-Diamonds} and Marton Czuczor calls in the big blind holding {J-Diamonds} {J-Hearts}. The board did not contain that magical four or any other spiritual connotation that could have worked wonders for Kastle and he was eliminated.

Allain Gets Hellmuth Fired Up

One, Two, Three, Four, Phil is Fired Up!
One, Two, Three, Four, Phil is Fired Up!

From the button Adrien Allain raised to 17,000 and just like earlier Czuczor folded quickly giving the action to Hellmuth. Hellmuth grabbed some chips and put in a raise to 45,000. Allain pondered for a while and asked the dealer, in French, what the total raise was. "He's all-in?," Hellmuth yelled as he jumped up from his chair. The 11 time bracelet winner seemed ready to go but when Allain eventually four-bet to 100,000 he didn't snap-call.

"I thought I would bust you earlier," was the first thing that came from his mouth as Allain started smiling. "This is so sick. This is the third time you bluffed me, but the fourth time I will have aces. Nice bluff kid," Hellmuth sighed as he open-folded {A-Hearts}{8-Clubs}.

An Easy Pot For The Chip Leader

Level 20 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

How often do you see pots that nobody wants to take ownership of, going the way of the chip leader?

Robert Finlay raised to 20,000 from under the gun and both Guillaume Humbert and Matan Krakow called. The action checked all the way down to the river when Humbert bet 40,000 to take the pot down.

Board: {A-Diamonds} {K-Clubs} {10-Clubs} {Q-Clubs} {8-Diamonds}

When asked to show his cards Humbert flashed a lone five for the bluff.

Kastle Has One Move

Level 20 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

We are not going to be seeing much creative poker from Casey Kastle today. He is hovering around the 10bb stack and is picking his spots to move all-in.

The action folds around to Kastle in the small blind and he does move all-in. Azusa Maeda decides to fold in the big blind and Kastle picks up the blinds and antes again.

Hellmuth Can't Seem to Win

Once more unto the muck dear friends, once more.
Once more unto the muck dear friends, once more.

Phil Hellmuth is having a very tough day so far. Everything he's trying seems to go wrong ander after being shoved on multiple times he decided to put pressure on Allain.

Adrien Allain raised pre flop to 17,000 from the cut-off and after Czuczor folded it was Hellmuth turn to act. The fans favorite decided to three-bet to 54,000 leaving himself with 170,000 chips behind. "I'm all-in" Allain announced fairly quickly putting Hellmuth to the test once more. "I don't think I can call," Hellmuth sighed before he released his hand.

The champ is hurting and now one of the short stacks.
