That One Dies With Me

The action was between Mark Radoja and Guillaume Humbert and we were already at the flop: {A-Clubs} {5-Diamonds} {2-Hearts}. Humbert check-called a 4,500 Radoja bet. The turn as the {8-Clubs} and once again Humbert check-called, this time for 8,600 but you could sense Radoja had control of the hand. Sure enough on the river of {5-Hearts} Humbert check once again and Radoja moved all-in for 41,000 and Humbert was forced to lay down his hand. As Radoja was stacking his chips someone asked him what he had.

"That one dies with me," said Radoja.

The Jetten Downfall

He's stil in the running but with just seven big blinds a comeback will be really hard for Peter Jetten. We didn't catch all his big pots but he was kind enough to inform us about a big hand he lost. Jetten got it in with pocket eights against {A-}{K-} losing a 50,000 chip pot. Later on he chopped with {A-}{10-} against {A-}{7-} where he had a good chance to double up.

Jetten is the shortest stack in the room at the moment and we will be following his actions closely.

Wigg Rivers Set, Pollak Pays

Anton Wigg
Anton Wigg

EPT Copenhagen winner Anton Wigg raised to 4,000 from the under the gun position and the player to his left called. Action got to Benjamin Pollak who decided to three-bet from the button to 14,500. Wigg was the only player who called and we got heads-up action from that point on.

The flop was {2-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{J-Clubs} and both players checked. We stayed in the same rhythm on the turn when the {4-Clubs} appeared and the river brought out the {8-Spades}. Wigg grabbed chips and bet 18,400 and Pollak quickly called. Wigg turned over {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts} for a rivered set launching him to the second place on the leader board. Pollak loses a chunk but still has 150,000 in front of him.

240K Chop!

Level 14 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Marvin Rettenmaier is seated in the small blind with a bet of 32,800 in front of him. His opponent in the hand is Casey Kastle who is in the big blind with 14,500 in front of him. The action is on Kastle and he is in the tank. After a few minutes thought Kastle moves all-in for 115,000 and Rettenmaier calls and has Kastle covered.

Kastle{K-Spades} {K-Clubs}
Rettenmaier{A-Clubs} {K-Hearts}

Flop: {A-Hearts} {Q-Diamonds} {5-Diamonds}

Rettenmaier took the lead and was about to fly into the top 3 chip spots.

Turn: {10-Hearts}

River: {J-Hearts}

The whole table went silent and eventually it was broken by the Dealer.

"It's a chop right?"

Kastle had vanished.

"I don't know how I feel about that?" Said Rettenmaier.

Chartier Busts to Czuczor

Sam Chartier was struggling earlier in a big pot in which he tanked for ages before folding leaving himself with a mere 40,000. The Hungarian pro Marton Czuczor just took the last of Chartier's chips when he put him all-in from the small blind. Chartier called off his remaining 40,000 chips with {A-Clubs}{K-} and was up against deuces.

The board ran out {10-}{7-}{4-}{2-}{9-} with four spades but Chartier couldn't produce one of those. Czuczor is looking healthy with a 125,000 while Chartier is gone in 25th place.

Wade's Roller Coaster Ends in 27th Place

Tristan Wade
Tristan Wade

Dinner may have given Wade new energy to play but it also took away the momentum he had earlier. After losing the big pot to Speranza he lost another very important hand. There was a 28,000 shove which Wade decided to call with {A-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}, his opponent tabled {J-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}. The board ran out {K-}{J-}{3-}{8-}{J-} knocking Wade all the way back to 11,000 chips.

Moments later he managed to double up with he got it in with {K-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} against {J-Hearts}{J-Spades} hitting a king on the {K-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} board. Wade got all the way back up to 31,500 when Freddy Deeb decided to raise to 5,000 from the cut-off. Wade three-bet all-in from the small blind and his rival Alessandro Speranza called from the big blind. Deeb folded so we got to see a heads up showdown.

Tristan Wade{A-}{9-}
Alessandro Speranza{7-}{7-}

The board ran out {10-}{8-}{5-}{7-}{K-} leaving Wade with a €5,789 payout but no WSOPE bracelet. Speranza is doing very well once again with almost 150,000 chips.
