After Mikhael Kvale checked the {J-Spades}{9-Hearts}{5-Hearts} flop, Vanessa Selbst fired 600. Kvale check-raised to 1,600 and Selbst made the call.

The turn was the {10-Diamonds} and Kvale checked. Selbst slid a tall stack of chips out for a bet around 6,500. Her opponent Kvale had less and gave it up, allowing Selbst to take the pot.

Event #2: €1,090 No-Limit Hold'em here at the 2011 World Series of Poker Europe is officially the largest event in WSOP Europe history.

Another 390 players came out today and combined with the 381 from yesterday's Day 1a flight to make an overall field size of 771 players. That smashes the previous record of 608 set in 2009 in the £1,000 No-Limit Hold'em event that JP Kelly won.

Looks like the move to Cannes was a great idea by the WSOP Europe. Here at PokerNews, we're loving it and looking forward to all of the events still to come!
