Guigon Will Not Go Quietly

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Bernard Guigon
Bernard Guigon

Bernard Guigon has just found another crucial double up, this one pulling his chip stack out of the basement.

It began with Tarcisio Bruno making a big preflop raise to 55,000, and Guigon three-bet shoved for 112,000 total. The call came quickly, and the two men were flipping for the pot. It was Bruno's {7-Hearts} {7-Clubs} a slight favorite, but Guignon appeared eternally confident in his {A-Clubs} {K-Diamonds}.

The {6-Hearts} {J-Spades} {10-Diamonds} flop was essentially a miss, but it did give Guignon another four outs to try and hit the gutshot. The turn {4-Hearts} was a brick, but the river came through in a big way. That marginal flop turned out to be rather important as the {Q-Diamonds} river gave Guigon Broadway and the big double. He's up to 242,000 now.
