Jelassi Stays Active

On a {8-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} flop Konstantin Uspenskiy bet 15,500 from the under the gun position getting one caller, Ramzi Jelassi, from the small blind. Callaghan folded from the big blind giving us heads-up action on the turn. The turn was the {K-Hearts} and both players checked. The river was the {7-Diamonds} and Uspenskiy bet 33,000 without getting a caller. Jelassi showed {K-}{K-} as he mucked for a turned set.

The very next hand we caught the action on the flop once more with {5-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{J-Hearts} showing. Oleskii Kovalchuk bet 14,000 and Jelassi called from the button. The other player in the pot folded his hand from the blinds. The turn was the {9-Hearts} and Kovalchuk checked to Jelassi who bet 26,000. Kovalchuk tanked for a solid minute before raising to 60,000. Jelassi didn't insta-fold like we've seen before but he also didn't put in his remaining 80,000 chips. Jelassi thought about it for two minutes and finally decided to shove getting Kovalchuk to snap-fold.

Jelassi keeps having monster swings but for the moment he's up to 220,000 while Uspenskiy is second in chips behind the fearless Sam Trickett.
