Chan Shoves On Adeniya

Level 5 : 200/400, 50 ante

Terrence Chan opened the betting from the cutoff at the four-handed table with a raise to 1,000. Martins Adeniya, fresh from his final table appearance in the EPT London Main Event, three-bet to 2,850, forcing out the blinds. Chan sat motionless before springing into life and moving all in for 9,200.

Adeniya counted out the necessary chips but found a fold at the last moment.

Board: {3-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{2-Hearts} and Lamb is out of Event #3.

Dempsey Backed Josephy in the corner

Level 5 : 200/400, 50 ante

James Dempsey has defeated Cliff Josephy heads-up to take 74,600 through to round two.

He told us that Josephy ran well heads-up but (crucially) ran bad in all the larger three-bet pots. The American was down to 20 big blinds when raise called it off with king-nine. He admitted it was a frustration call and must've been even more frustrated when he saw that Dempsey had ace-king, which held.

Toth Won't Show Alibay

Level 6 : 300/600, 75 ante

Richard Toth raises to 1,200 and Ami Alibay three-bets to 3,500. Toth pauses before moving all in, covering Alibay by a large amount of chips.

"Will you show if I fold?" asks Alibay but Toth remains stoic.

After around one minute Alibay folds and shows {A-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} but Toth mucks.

"I never show, sorry, " apologises Toth but he did tell his opponent that he held an ace.

Stout Counterfeited On The River?

Level 6 : 300/600, 75 ante

On a flop reading {6-Spades}{10-Hearts}{K-Spades}, John Eames checks from the big blind position, Matt Stout bets 2,000 from the cutoff, Chad Brown calls on the button and Eames gets out of the way.

The dealer places the {J-Spades} on the turn and Stout greets it with a bet of 4,600, a bet that Brown watses no time in calling. The river is the {J-Hearts} and Stout leans over to check the size of Brown's stack, leans back and checks. Brown bets a pile of yellow chips and Stout angrily tosses his cards in the air, revealing {10-Clubs}{6-Clubs}, saying it was a sick river. Eames said he thought the check on the river meant Stout had been counterfeited. Brown picks up the pot.
