Fitoussi Builds Back with Straight

Bruno Fitoussi bet 1,250 on the {8-Spades}{6-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} board into Hugo Lemaire. Lemaire made the call and the dealer landed the {J-Clubs} out on the turn. Fitoussi bet 4,300 this time. Lemaire tanked for a bit and then called. After he did, Fitoussi tabled the {7-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} for the nut straight. Lemaire mucked his hand and Fitoussi pulled in the pot to move back to the starting stack.

You've Only Got One Chip. You've Only Got One Chip. You've Only Got One Chip. One Chip!

Salomon Harroch raised to 1,100 to open the pot, and John Eames three-bet to 2,500. Harroch called, and the two men took a {3-Diamonds} {6-Hearts} {4-Spades} flop. Harroch led out into the pot, and he tried to move all in, but only 6,900 of his 7,000 chips made it into the pot. Eames called, and Harroch checked(!) the {9-Hearts} turn. Eames flicked the covering chip into the pot, and Harroch paused and called off his last T100.

Showdown
Harroch: {A-Spades} {K-Hearts}
Eames: {J-Hearts} {J-Clubs}

Harroch was dead to six outs, and the river {4-Diamonds} has ushered him out the door.

ElkY Has Been Eliminated

Bertrand Grospellier has been eliminated
Bertrand Grospellier has been eliminated

We believe Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier was crippled by Benny Spindler as the players headed for the break just 20-minutes ago. He was left with 800 chips and they went into the middle a few hands after the break. [Removed:146] was seated next to him and he raised to 2,215 and then the player to his left moved all-in for 8,750. Guerfi made the call and we had a three-way showdown

Showdown

Guerfi{8-Clubs} {8-Diamonds}
Unknown{Q-Clubs} {Q-Spades}
ElkY{10-Diamonds} {9-Clubs}

Board: {k-Hearts} {8-Hearts} {4-Hearts} {6-Hearts} {7-Clubs}

ElkY and Guerfi both double up and the unknown player is eliminated.

A few hands later and there was a raise to 700 from the cut-off and ElkY moved all-in for 2,400 and his opponent called.

Showdown

Cut-off{K-Clubs} {10-Hearts}
ElkY{4-Diamonds} {4-Clubs}

Flop: {10-Clubs} {10-Spades} {6-Clubs}

Not the greatest flop for ElkY!

Turn: {4-Spades}

So this is how you win tournaments?

River: {6-Clubs}

The poker gods restore order in the world.

Continuation Bet Nets Some from Karamalikis

Level 4 : 150/300, 25 ante

Jonathan Karamalikis raised to 800 from middle position before Kirill Telezhkin called from the next seat. In the hijack seat, Ben Delaney made the call and then Evgeny Zaytsev called from the button.

The four players took the flop of {K-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{6-Spades} and Karamalikis was up first. He kept up his aggressiveness with a bet of 2,900. One by one, each of his opponents folded and Karamalikis won the pot.

Straight for Akenhead

James Akenhead check-raised Ville Haavisto from 1,100 to 2,900 on the {5-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{2-Spades} flop. Haavisto made the call and the {3-Clubs} landed on the turn. Both players checked and the river completed the board with the {5-Hearts}. Akenhead bet 5,600 and Haavisto made the call.

Akenhead tabled the {A-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} for a six-high straight and Haavisto mucked his hand.

Welcome to the Table, Tony G!

Tony G has just joined the field, and he picked the exact right time to come play. On the very first hand of his day, Tony G went all the way to the river with {Q-Hearts} {10-Hearts}. In the end, the board showed {J-Clubs} {Q-Clubs} {K-Hearts} {J-Hearts} {9-Hearts}... that's a straight-flush! We don't have any details on how the action went down, but we do know that Tony won a sizable pot against two players -- one of them with pocket aces.

One hand into Tony G's Main Event, he's up to 44,000.

Karr Beating Bellande

McLean Karr cleaning up
McLean Karr cleaning up

McLean Karr bet 700 from early position, Jean Robert Bellande called in late position, as did the cut-off and the big blind. The dealer handed us the flop of {10-Clubs} {8-Diamonds} {2-Hearts} and the action checked through to Bellande who bet 2,000 and only Karr made the call. The turn of {Q-Diamonds} checked through, and the last card the players saw was the {8-Hearts}. Karr bet 5,175 and got into his usual frozen state and Bellande made the fold.

James Dempsey: French People

James Dempsey now has 88 bean!
James Dempsey now has 88 bean!

We were speaking to James Dempsey during the break and he told us he had 70 "bean".

"How have you got 70 bean?" We asked.

"I have French people at my table," said Dempsey.

There was a raise under the gun and Tony G, James Dempsey, Mr A.Hairabedian and the big blind made the call. Onwards to a very populated flop of {9-Clubs} {7-Hearts} {6-Hearts} and the action checked around to Mr A.Hairabedian who bet 1,200. The big blind decided his hand was good enough to see a turn as did Dempsey; the rest folding their hands. The turn card was the straight-connecting {5-Hearts} and when the big blind checked to Dempsey he bet 3,000, Mr A.Hairabedian called and the big blind folded. The final card of this particular hand was the {10-Spades} and it was Dempsey to act first. The lad from the UK spooned 3,000 into the pot and Mr. Hairabedian called and mucked when he saw the {8-Clubs} {6-Clubs} of Dempsey.

We get your point James!
