Welcome To The Penultimate Day Of The €10,400 WSOPE Main Event

The World Series of Poker Europe (WSOPE) is creeping towards its conclusion and we think we are in for something special. The Hotel Majestic Barriere, Cannes, has been host to the biggest, baddest and most beautiful WSOPE main event ever. We started with 593 players, creating a huge prize pool of €5,692,800, and we are now down to the final 25 all vying for that €1.4 million first prize.
The two men neck and neck at the top of the chip counts are from the UK. Max Silver and Chris Moorman are separated by a mere 11 chips going into the penultimate day and they dominate their starting tables in terms of stack size. Chris Moorman once again finds himself battling with Jake Cody, and we will keep our eye on that confrontation, as the two will know each others game very well. Silver has position on the best looking man in the universe, Patrik Antonius, who can play a bit as well.
At the other end of the chip counts we have the world's top live tournament earner Erik Seidel. Seidel has yet again found himself in the deep end of one of the worlds top tournaments. He shares table space with the WSOPE phenom that is Shawn Buchanan. Buchanan, who has now cashed in four WSOPE events this series, is playing that well at the moment do not be surprised to see him at the final table. Buchanan is not the only player left in the event to have cashed in multiple WSOPE events this series either. John Eames has also cashed in three events this series and is another of the short stacks. He shares a table with the third short stack, and his father, Tony G. The G-Meister General brought the house down yesterday when he used a singing Donkey as a card protector. He was on top form and if he finds an early double up who knows what mayhem he has in store for the rest of the day.
The Caesars Cup has started today and Jake Cody and Tony G are representing Team Europe. This presents us with a slight logistical problem and we may possibly have a slightly later start.
