Fives Win for Ivey

Level 6 : 150/300, 25 ante

From under the gun, a player raised to 600. Phil Ivey called from the hijack seat and the flop came down {J-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}. The first player bet 800 and Ivey made the call.

The turn was checked by both players after the {A-Spades} fell and then the {J-Diamonds} paired the board on the river. Both checked again.

The under-the-gun player showed the {7-Clubs}{4-Clubs}, but Ivey's {5-Spades}{5-Clubs} was best and he won the pot.

Michael Mizrachi
Michael Mizrachi

Michael "The Grinder" Mizrachi will not be winning another gold bracelet in this first event as he was just eliminated. Mizrachi was a late entrant to the event, but just saw his tournament come to an end when his {8-Hearts}{7-Hearts} lost to Xavier Capacci's {9-Spades}{9-Clubs}.

The money went in preflop and the board ran out {Q-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} to bust Mizrachi.
