David Baker Eliminated in 14th Place (€6,548)

David Baker - 14th Place
David Baker - 14th Place

After a raise on the button from Roberto Romanello to 7,000, David "ODB" Baker reraised all in for a little over 60,000 from the big blind. Romanello called holding the {A-Spades}{10-Spades}. Baker held the {K-Spades}{J-Hearts}.

Baker flopped the lead when the {K-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} rolled out, but after the {6-Diamonds} landed on the turn, the dealer finished the board with the {A-Clubs} and Romanello was awarded the pot. Baker finished in 14th place and took home €6,548.

With his finish, Baker also earned some valuable World Series of Poker Player of the Year points. His finish earned him 8.75 points and moved him to 517.13 points overall. That's good enough to leap over Antonio Esfandiari into fourth place behind John Monnette, Phil Ivey and the leader Greg Merson.
