Oh No, Lanosga!

Randolph Lanosga
Randolph Lanosga

A short-stacked Randolph Lanosga moved all in from the hijack for around 5,000 only to have Guy Pariente move all in over the top from the button. Both blinds got out of the way and the hands were turned up.

Showdown
Lanosga: {A-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}
Pariente: {Q-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}

Lanosga was left shaking his head after the board ran out {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} and he was left with nothing more than a min-cash.

Lucky Seven Saves Gupta

We didn't see the preflop action, but we do know Vic Gupta got his stack of 12,500 all in with {A-Diamonds}{7-Spades} and was in bad shape against the {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds} of Jasper Vanvlasselaer. Fortunately for Gupta, who is supporting a New England Patriots hat despite that teams loss yesterday, the {9-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} flop paired his seven and gave him the lead. Neither the {3-Diamonds} turn nor {Q-Clubs} river harmed Gupta, and he received a much-welcomed double to 26,000.

Eights Get the Job Done for George

William Esmingeaud was all in preflop holding {A-Clubs}{J-Clubs} and racing against the {8-Spades}{8-Hearts} of Gil George. The {9-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} flop was no help to Esmingeaud, but the {7-Clubs} turn did give him a flush draw. Much to George's delight, the {4-Hearts} blanked on the river and he sent Esmingeaud home in 49th place.

Meanwhile, a short-stacked Jasper Vanvlasselaer was eliminated in 48th place.

Rettenmaier Eliminated, Wade Triples & Teisseire Wins All in the Same Hand

Marvin Rettenmaier
Marvin Rettenmaier

Just prior to the break, Tristan Wade moved all in from early position for 11,300 with {8-}{8-} and received a call from start-of-the-day chip leader Marvin Rettenmaier, who held {A-}{K-} offsuit in the cutoff. French pro Antonin Teisseire then moved all in over the top from the big blind with what turned out to be {A-}{A-}, and Rettenmaier opted to call off for over 30,000.

Both Wade and Rettenmaier were at risk, but the former would be spared as the board ran out {K-}{4-}{8-}{4-}{10-} and he tripled with a full house; meanwhile, Rettenmaier was eliminated from the tournament in 47th place for €2,133.
