Sevens For Sergii

Level 27 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante

Phil Hellmuth had the button and all three players invested 230,000 before the flop.

The flop was {7-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{2-Hearts} and all three players checked. The {3-Hearts} turned and Stephane Albertini led for 285,000. Sergii Baranov called and Hellmuth folded. Both checked the {8-Clubs} river and Albertini showed {A-Clubs}{Q-Spades} for ace-high. Baranov tabled {7-Spades}{6-Spades} for a pair of sevens and took the pot.

High Fives

Sergii Baranov raised to 120,000 from the button and received calls from both blinds. The {6-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} flop brought checks by all three players, and then Hellmuth checked the {Q-Clubs} turn. Stephane Albertini took the opportunity to bet 180,000 from the big blind, Baranov folded, and Hellmuth check-called.

Both players then returned to checking on the {5-Spades} river and Hellmuth revealed {5-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}, which was no good against Albertini's {A-Hearts}{5-Hearts}.

Small One For Hellmuth

Level 27 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

Stephane Albertini had the button. He raised to 130,000 and received a call from Phil Hellmuth in the big blind. The flop came {2-Spades}{6-Hearts}{5-Clubs} and both players checked. The {9-Diamonds} turned and Hellmuth fired 240,000. Albertini got rid of his cards that the "Poker Brat" took down the pot.

Kings Full for Baranov

Stephane Albertini limped on the button and Sergii Baranov did the same from the small blind. Phil Hellmuth checked his option for the big and it was three-way action to the {6-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} flop. Baranov was first to act and led out for 90,000, which only Hellmuth called.

Both players checked the {6-Clubs} turn, and then Baranov bet 200,000 on the {K-Spades} river. Hellmuth snap-called but mucked when Baranov rolled over {K-Clubs}{4-Hearts} for a full house.

Baranov thought for about ninety seconds before folding, awarding Albertini the pot and pushing him just over 3 million in chips.

"I Started with a Big Hand, and I'm Trying to Finish it with a Big Hand"

A limped pot saw all three players take a flop of {7-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{8-Clubs} and Sergii Baranov led out for 130,000 from the small blind. Stephane Albertini folded from the big, and Phil Hellmuth raised to 400,000. "I started with a big hand, and I'm trying to finish it with a big hand," Hellmuth said.

Baranov was a believer and folded his hand, which prompted Hellmuth to show {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}. "I limped with nine," the 12-time bracelet winner said with a proud smile on his face.
