Conte Takes a Bite Out of the Grinder's Stack

Three players created a preflop pot of 14,000 and saw a flop of {8-Spades}{2-Spades}{6-Diamonds}. The hijack checked, Maxime Conte bet 7,500 from the cutoff, and Michael "The Grinder" Mizrachi called from the button. After the hijack folded, the dealer burned and turned the {8-Hearts}, which both players checked.

Conte then checked the {9-Clubs} river and watched Mizrachi toss out three grey T5,000 chips for a bet of 15,000. Conte struggled with what to do, but eventually he put in the call and was glad he did as Mizrachi sent his cards to the muck. A winning hand must be shown, so Conte tabled {4-Clubs}{4-Spades} and was pushed the pot.

Meanwhile, 1998 World Series of Poker Main Event champ Scotty Nguyen was eliminated the next table over.
