Hellmuth Slipping; Pergolizzi Thriving

Axel Pergolizzi opened to 6,500 from the cutoff and the button folded. Phil Hellmuth three-bet to 20,000 from the small blind and it folded back around to Pergolizzi who called.

The flop came down {A-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} and Hellmuth fired a continuation bet of 27,000. Pergolizzi called and more paint hit the board when the {Q-Clubs} fell on fourth street. Hellmuth slowed down with a check and Pergolizzi checked behind. The duo checked once again when the {J-Spades} rivered.

"I missed," said Hellmuth.

Pergolizzi showed {K-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts} for a turned pair of queen and took down the pot.

"Wow, he calls twenty-seven thousand with king-high," lamented Hellmuth. He slammed his hand on the table. "You wanna give me the money? You want to just give it to me? I accept, buddy."
