After a player in Seat 9 had limped in early position, our defending champ, Elio Fox, raised to 825 from the button. Both blinds got out of the way, the limper called, and it was heads-up action to the flop. Seat 9 proceeded to check-call a bet of 700 and then do the same for 2,200 on the turn.
When the peeled off on the river, Seat 9 checked for a third time and Fox fired out 4,500. Seat 9 thought for a bit before tossing out three grey T5,000 chips for a raise to 15,000, and Fox called with . Seat 9 then slowly turned over for the same hand. Chop it up!
Despite chopping that pot, Fox is off to a good start and is already up to 55,000.
From early position, Rémy Biechel raised to 400. The cutoff seat made the call, then Kamel Tafer reraised to 800 from the button. Todd Terry called from the small blind, Biechel called, and the cutoff seat called.
The flop came down , and action checked around. The turn was the , and action checked to Tafer. He fired 1,100 with only Biechel making the call. The river completed the board with the , and Biechel led for 1,500. Tafer called.
Biechel showed the for a straight to the jack. Tafer held his hand for a few moments, staring back at it, but looking upset. He then mucked, and Biechel scooped in the pot.
Action folded to Govert Metaal in the hijack and he raised to 500, which Prosper Masquelier called from the big blind. The flop saw the latter lead out for 500 and say, "Friendly bet," to which Metaal raised to 1,200. Masquelier made the call and then both players checked the turn.
Masquelier checked for a second time on the river, and Metaal fired out 2,500. Masquelier clashed the and then sent his hand to the muck.
It seems like every time we see Michael "The Grinder" Mizrachi, someone is giving him chips. We came upon a hand with 23,000 already pulled into the middle with a board reading and Mizrachi had his remaining chips in front of him. From what we could piece together, Konstantinos Mamaliadis had bet the from the big blind, how much we're not sure, and Mizrachi pushed for 12,850 more. Mamaliadis thought for about 30 seconds and then made the call.
Showdown
Mamaliadis:
Mizrachi:
Mizrachi was in the lead with a turned two pair, which held when the blanked on the river. With that, Mizrachi doubled to 56,000 while Mamaliadis was knocked down to 2,000 or so.

Richard Guiho opened for 250 from middle position and received a call from Todd Terry on the button. [Removed:283], who had just sat down and was playing his first hand, then three-bet to 1,200 from the big blind. Not to be outdone, Guiho four-bet to 4,000, Terry folded, [Removed:288] called, and it was heads-up action to the flop.
[Removed:288] immediately fired out a healthy bet of 7,700, Guiho called, and then the dealer burned and turned the . This time [Removed:288] slowed down with a check and ended up folding when Guiho bet 6,500.
