Pop Runs Over His Opponent

Level 1 : 25/50, 0 ante

Catalin Pop opened to 250 from the hijack and the button three-bet to 800. The blinds folded and Pop made the call to see the flop fall {a-Spades}{7-Spades}{2-Diamonds}.

Pop checked to his opponent who continued for 1,050. Pop called again and the {10-Spades} peeled off on the turn. Both players checked to the {3-Clubs} on the river and checked again. Pop tabled {a-Hearts}{5-Hearts} for a pair of aces while his opponent flashed the {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds} before mucking his cards.

Castelluccio Takes from Obadia

Level 2 : 50/100, 0 ante

Until the flop of {9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}, a pot of 1,600 had emerged and Jose Obadia checked out of the big blind. Sergio Castelluccio checked behind from late position and the duo headed to the {3-Spades} turn. Obadia checked once more and Castelluccio bet 1,700, which the Spaniard snap-called.

After the {K-Spades} river, Obadia checked the third street in a row and Castelluccio cut out a bet of more than 5,000. Obadia didn't ask for a count but instead snap-folded, then sighed while counting his remaining chips.

Perati Loses Small Pot

Level 2 : 50/100, 0 ante

Muhamet Perati raised to 250 and the player in the small blind called. On the {10-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{6-Hearts} flop, the small blind checked and Perati continued for 300, which picked up a call. Both checked the {7-Spades} on the turn and the bet of 600 by the small blind on the {5-Clubs} river was called.

Once Perati was shown {9-Spades}{8-Clubs} for a flopped straight, the Italian with Albanian roots mucked and dropped a few chips. Fellow Italian Domenico Gala is on the same table and Alex Foxen also just arrived in the one seat.

Lukac Gifted a Near Double by Camarda

Level 2 : 50/100, 0 ante

The cards were already rushed away while Salvatore Camarda left the tournament area. Emil Lukac had taken all of the Italian's chips and that was also confirmed by Kenny Hallaert. Apparently Camarda had raised from the button and Lukac called from the small blind.

According to Hallaert, the duo checked a flop of {10-}{4-}{3-} before Lukac's bet on the {J-} turn was raised by Camarda. Lukac called and also called the shove of the Italian on the {7-} river with {J-}{10-} for top two pair. Camarda only had {K-}{4-} for a pair of fours and exited early on Day 1b.

Andrej Desset

With around 8,000 in the pot, the full board was spread out and read {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}. Andrej Desset checked from the hijack and his opponent pushed all-in for 16,100.

Desset tanked for a couple minutes until finally putting together enough chips for a call. "If you have it, you have it," Desset said as he pushed his chips forward.

His opponent reluctantly turned over {9-Spades}{9-Hearts} while Desset showed {k-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for the nut flush.
