Fuchs Eliminates Two More Players

Level 26 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante
Florian Fuchs
Florian Fuchs

Just moments after Sebastian Benoit sent most of his chips to Florian Fuchs in a cooler hand, he got his last 470,000 in the middle holding {a-Spades}{q-Clubs} but ran into Fuchs' {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}. The board ran out {10-Spades}{8-Spades}{7-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} and Benoit went from one of the leaders to the rail in a matter of a few minutes.

Fuchs' heater didn't stop there, as the next hand Ondrej Jkubcik shoved all-in for 630,000 from early position and Fuchs called directly to his left. Fuchs was ahead with {7-Hearts}{7-Spades} against Jkubcik's {5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}. Fuchs went full house over full house again as the board ran out {k-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{5-Hearts}.

"I guess if you're going to run good, this is the tournament to do it in," Fuchs said as he stacked chips to over 4 million now.

Game Over for Borzak

Level 27 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Matous Skorepa continues to clean up the tables by sending yet another opponent to the rail. Skorepa raised from under the gun soon after the last three tables were set and called the shove of Tibor Borzak.

Tibor Borzak: {8-Spades}{8-Hearts}
Matous Skorepa: {J-Hearts}{10-Hearts}

The flip went to Skorepa, who flopped a jack on the board of {A-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} and dodged the gutshot of Borzak. The Hungarian receives €9,119 for his efforts while Skorepa is near the top of the counts.

Rene Crha
Rene Crha

Jonathan Khalifa opened to 115,000 from the cutoff and Rene Crha pushed all-in for 445,000 from the big blind. Khalifa thought briefly but made the call. He tabled {7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} and Crha showed {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts}.

The flop came {j-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{4-Spades} and Khalifa was still ahead with his pair of sevens. The turn was the {2-Clubs} and the river brought the {8-Diamonds}. Crha was eliminated and Khalifa started the climb back up the ranks.

Hofmann Straightens Out to Double Up

Level 27 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Thomas Hofmann was all-in for 365,000 in late position and was called by his opponent in the big blind. The big blind tabled {k-Clubs}{q-Hearts} and Hofmann looked at his cards and said a prayer before turning them over. Hofmann eventually showed {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} and it was a flip.

The flop came {q-Spades}{8-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} and Hofmann fell behind as his opponent hit a pair of queens. The turn was the {10-Spades} and the river landed the {9-Clubs} giving Hofmann a straight to double up.

Bouwmans Bows Out

Level 27 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

[Removed:35] opened the action with a raise to 115,000 in the cutoff and Bjorn Bouwmans shoved for 1.2 million from the small blind. Lucina quickly double-checked his cards and tossed in a single chip for the call.

Bjorn Bouwmans: {A-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}
[Removed:35]: {A-Hearts}{A-Spades}

After a board of {K-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{6-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}, Bouwmans failed to hit a miracle and had to settle for 24th place and €9,119.

Fuchs Leaves Mol With No Chips

Level 27 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

A short-stacked Maarten Mol was all in and at risk for 405,000 and big stack Florian Fuchs called.

Maarten Mol: {A-Hearts}{3-Spades}
Florian Fuchs: {A-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}

The kicker problem became even bigger on the {A-Spades}{J-Clubs}{9-Clubs} flop, and Mol was officially drawing dead on the {7-Diamonds} turn to make the {4-Hearts} river a formality.

Paap Doubles Again

Level 27 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Karel Kratochvil opened the action with a raise to 105,000 and Martin Paap three-bet to 320,000 in the cutoff. Roman Motovsky four-bet all in from the small blind and Gaetan Cauchy glanced up from the big blind behind his sunglasses, then folded. Kratochvil folded rather quickly and Paap snap-called all in for 800,000.

Martin Paap: {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}
Roman Motovsky: {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds}

The board of {7-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} failed to improve Motovsky and he lost one third of his stack, while the comeback of Paap continues.
