Gourie Doubles Through Vranken

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Diamond Grabovci was the next casualty while Elias Gourie was more fortunate. He moved all in for 40,900 on the {K-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} flop and Antoine Vranken, who had bet 7,000, called with the {J-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}. Gourie turned over {A-Clubs}{J-Clubs} and dodged the flush draw of Vranken by instead hitting a flush himself with the {4-Clubs} turn and {6-Clubs} river run out.

Haisiuk Escapes from Elimination

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Joining the action on the three-way flop of {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs}{6-Clubs}, Oleh Haisiuk checked out of the small blind and David Urban bet 20,000. Pavel Svach called from two seats over and Haisiuk then check-raised all in for 97,100. Urban called and Svach folded.

Oleh Haisiuk: {A-Spades}{J-Diamonds}
David Urban: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}

Urban was in prime shape to drag in a massive pot before the money bubble, but instead the {9-Spades} turn and {9-Diamonds} river gave Haisiuk a fortunate split pot.

Diaz Gone Before the Money

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Gilbert Diaz busted before the money while Frank de Busscher doubled through Veysel Kortan in a battle of the blinds. Kortan check-called the shove of de Busscher on the {6-Spades}{3-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{2-Spades} turn for the last 35,600 with {K-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} and de Busscher turned over {Q-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}. The {3-Spades} river was a blank and the Belgian doubled.

Witold Krawczyk: {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}

Auer From Zero to Hero

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

On the money bubble, Robert Auer was down to a mere 15,000 and that has since grown to 87,000. Auer first doubled with aces and just now knocked out table neighbor Nedelcho Karakolev when his {Q-Spades}{Q-Clubs} held up versus {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} on a board of {J-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}.

Also among the early casualties in the money: Theodoros Aidonopoulos.

Lampropulos Limps Aces to Double; Parsonage Loses Flip

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Maria Lampropulos limped from early position and Evgeny Kafelnikov raised to 21,200. Lampropulos moved all in for 50,600. Kafelnikov asked for a count and eventually called.

Maria Lampropulos: {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds}
Evgeny Kafelnikov: {A-Hearts}{K-Spades}

The board came {K-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} and Lampropulos doubled. Kafelnikov sighed and the former tennis star then added "I should have folded." Biggest stack at the table is Thomas Hofmann, who already had a deep run in THE COLOSSUS a few days ago.

One table over, Daniel Parsonage was all in with {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} and Antoine Vranken called with the {K-Spades}{Q-Clubs}. The board came {Q-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{J-Clubs} and Vranken paired his queen to eliminate the Brit. Vranken bumped his stack into the same sphere as Vlado Banicevic.

Grzegorz Reczko Triples

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Grzegorz Reczko shoved all in for 29,800 and two players called including Catherine Hanna from the big blind.

She checked the {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{5-Spades} flop as did her opponent. The turn was the {j-Diamonds} and she bet 30,000. Her opponent folded, leaving her heads up with Reczko. Reczko had {9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} and could not lose the hand to the {q-Spades}{q-Clubs} of Hanna.

Kessler Checks Out

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Allen Kessler was all in and at risk for 22,700 from the hijack and Hannes Neurauter moved all in from the button to isolate successfully.

Allen Kessler: {A-Hearts}{7-Clubs}
Hannes Neurauter: {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}

The {J-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} flop gave Neurauter middle set and Kessler a gutshot, and nothing much changed with the {A-Diamonds} turn. Kessler still needed a nine except for the {9-Diamonds}, and the {K-Diamonds} river provided no help for the American tournament grinder. Roland Israelashvili bowed out soon after as well from a different table.
