Schillhabel Eliminates Mateos

Level 18 : 50,000/100,000, 15,000 ante
Adrian Mateos
Adrian Mateos

Adrian Mateos opened for 225,000 on the button and Stefan Schillhabel jammed in the big blind.

"You cover me?" asked Mateos.

Indeed, Schillhabel had over 3 million while Mateos had about 2.7 million. The Spanish crusher called with {a-Hearts}{10-Clubs} but was dominated by {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}. The {j-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} flop was a scary one as Mateos flopped a two-way straight draw, but the {2-Diamonds} and {7-Clubs} kept the king kicker best.
