The first of ten gold bracelet events of the 2018 World Series of Poker Europe at the King's Casino in Rozvadov is off to a good start thanks to 154 entries on the first of eight starting days of Event #1: €550 COLOSSUS No-Limit Hold'em. Only 12 players bagged up chips after 18 levels of 30 minutes each while another 12 participants took home a portion of the Day 1A prize pool.

All those that failed to advance to Day 2 can take another shot at the guaranteed prize pool of €1,000,000, as Day 1B kicks off at 6 p.m. local time in Europe's biggest poker arena. As usual, the late registration remains open for the first 10 levels until approximately 11.40 p.m. local time and the second flight will conclude upon completion of level 18 in the early morning hours past 4 a.m. local time.

Each participant receives 25,000 in chips to start with and a single re-entry is allowed during the registration period. The chip leader thus far is Poland's Dariusz Glinski, who bagged up impressive 669,000 earlier this morning and Gerrit Muller (544,000) was the only other player to advance with more than half a million in chips.

Among those expected to take another shot at glory are 2018 World Series of Poker Player of the Year contender Shaun Deeb, Chris Ferguson, Jeff Lisandro, Roland Israelashvili, Guoliang Wei, Allen Kessler, Sander van Wesemael and Teunis Kooij.
