Thierry Doubles Through Avigal

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Gil Thierry
Gil Thierry

Gil Thierry was all in and at risk for 64,500 with {9-Spades}{9-Clubs} against the {A-}{Q-} of Meir Avigal and the board ran out {J-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{2-Spades}{8-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}. Thierry was visibly relieved and admitted after the hand that he was not happy about being snap-called with his pair of nines.

Four-Way All In; Double Knockout; Money Bubble Time

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Four-Way All In
Four-Way All In

Short stack Michail Kavouras was all in for 49,500 and the fireworks started behind him as Gil Thierry and Giuseppe Tedeschi also ended up all in. But that was not the last of it just yet, as Corentin Schmauch had everyone covered and also got his stack into the middle.

"Sorry guys, I think we have the bubble here," one of the players at the table said to tournament staff, who rushed by to see the showdown.

Michail Kavouras: {A-Clubs}{J-Clubs}
Gil Thierry: {Q-Spades}{Q-Clubs}
Giuseppe Tedeschi: {Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}
Corentin Schmauch: {K-Hearts}{K-Clubs}

Kavouras was rooting for an ace while filming the showdown with his smartphone. The Greek had his wish granted in most dramatic fashion as the board came {7-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{5-Spades}{2-Spades}{A-Diamonds} to secure his quadruple up. Meanwhile, Thierry and Tedeschi were eliminated by Schmauch and the field has been reduced to just 25 hopefuls. The money bubble will now be played in hand-for-hand mode.

Treading on the Money Bubble

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Julian Adamson is among the shortest stacks on the money bubble, but Edgard Strupka, Paul Berende and Anatolii Zyrin are only a few big blinds further ahead. The big stacks belong to Corentin Schmauch and Gerrit Muller while Meir Avigal moved all in once to claim a bigger pot without showdown.

Trips for Sahin

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Roman Sahin raised from early position and picked up two callers including Stephan Kohlstetter. On the {K-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{4-Hearts} flop, action checked to Kohlstetter on the button and he bet 11,000. Only Sahin called and the remaining duo then checked the {A-Clubs} turn and {J-Clubs} river. Sahin flashed {J-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} for trips jacks and Kohlstetter mucked the {K-Diamonds}.

Miller Doubles Through Amedi

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante
Armin Miller
Armin Miller

In a three-bet pot to the {Q-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} flop, Artem Miller clashed with big stack Netanel Amedi and called all in for what appeared to be 108,000. Amedi was caught with his fingers in the cookie jar and a steal attempt on the pure money bubble:

Artem Miller: {A-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}
Netanel Amedi: {A-Hearts}{10-Hearts}

The {4-Diamonds} turn locked up the double for Miller, making the {A-Clubs} river a mere formality. Amedi was left with his head shaking and dropped below the average.

Nasic Triples Up

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Nicolaas Baars raised to 10,000 and Zuhdija Nasic moved all in from the button, which Stephan Kohlstetter called in the big blind. Baars also called and both active players checked down the {10-Spades}{8-Spades}{7-Spades}{8-Clubs}{2-Hearts} board. Nasic showed {Q-Spades}{Q-Hearts} and more than tripled up as Kohlstetter had {9-Clubs}{7-Clubs}, Baars only {A-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}.

One hand later on the same table, Baars raised to 10,000 and Roman Sahin clicked it up to 20,000. Kohlstetter four-bet to 53,000 and just Sahin called for half the stack. They checked the {K-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} flop and the {8-Hearts} turn brought the jam by Kohlstetter. Sahin folded and was shown the {A-Spades}{A-Hearts}.

Paul Berende Bubbles Day 1A of The COLOSSUS

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante
Paul Berende
Paul Berende

Nicolaas Baars raised to 10,000 and Paul Berende moved all in for 30,500 from late position. Dariusz Glinski called in the big blind, as did Baars. Both active players checked the {J-Spades}{8-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{A-Spades}{3-Spades} board and Berende showed {9-Diamonds}{9-Spades}. Glinski had that bear with {Q-Diamonds}{J-Hearts} and Baars mucked {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs} to let the bubble on Day 1A burst.
