Small Pot for Deeb; Bigger Pot for Kratzer

Level 6 : 300/500, 500 ante

Shaun Deeb three-bet and picked up a call, but no further action followed. With an ace and jack on the board, neither Deeb or his opponent was interested to put further chips into the middle and Deeb raked in the pot with {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}.

Mirko Kratzer raised to 1,600 and was called one way. Carmelo Vasta three-bet to 4,400 and Kratzer called, as did the third player in the hand. As in Deeb's hand, there was no further action either on the board {Q-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{A-Clubs}{2-Clubs} and Kratzer's {A-Spades}{K-Spades} won the pot.

Kamphues Times Two

Level 6 : 300/500, 500 ante

Both Lars and Timo Kamphues played on Day 1A without success and entered a few minutes ago. One of them, Lars, happened to score a double right away.

Marc Anthony Joseph raised and called a three-bet to 3,400 by Kamphues to see the flop of {A-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}. Joseph check-raised from 2,000 to 6,000 and Kamphues called to see the {J-Diamonds} on the turn. Joseph moved all in and Kamphues called instantly for the last 15,600.

Lars Kamphues: {A-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}
Marc Anthony Joseph: {7-Hearts}{6-Hearts}

The {Q-Spades} on the river was a blank and one of the two brothers doubled.

Szabo Eliminated by Sejtanic

Level 6 : 300/500, 500 ante
Evgeny Medyukha
Evgeny Medyukha

An open-raise by Denis Sejtanic resulted in the three-bet to 5,500 by Zoltan Szabo and the Hungarian had invested a decent portion of his remaining stack already. Sejtanic moved all in and Szabo reluctantly called it off for around 12,000.

Zoltan Szabo: {A-Spades}{7-Spades}
Denis Sejtanic: {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}

The kicker played a crucial role as the board came {J-Hearts}{J-Spades}{4-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{10-Clubs} to eliminate Szabo.

Aleksandr Merzhvinskiy also ran out of chips, but elected to re-enter before the end of the level. Evgeny Medyukha, who had been the chip leader not long ago, has been spotted in the Daily Side Event and a quick look at the history confirms his eliminated.

Houzvicek Forces Out Blasko

Level 7 : 300/600, 600 ante

Michael Soyza has been able to to build his stack and more than double since sitting down and the same also applies to Matous Houzvicek, who was moved over to table 80 not long ago. Houzvicek took on Marek Blasko in a big pot and jammed the river of a board {A-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{2-Hearts}. With more than 24,000 in the middle, Blasko check-folded with 10,000 behind and sigh-folded with the words "you win, lucky fish."

Joseph Missing; Rychlik Leads

Level 7 : 300/600, 600 ante
Marc Anthony Joseph
Marc Anthony Joseph

Marc Anthony Joseph was no longer in his seat and still observing the tournament area from the nearby stairs. A quick chat with him revealed that Joseph had lost a big pot full house under full house to exit in cruel fashion.

Joseph had ran up his stack to 80,000 once more before dropping a few chips, and then clashed with Roman Rychlik. Joseph flopped trips with {10-Spades}{8-Spades} on the board of {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{Q-Spades} only for Rychlik to turn over the {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} in the showdown on the river. That hand has boosted the stack of Rychlik significantly and he appears to be the current chip leader.

Lon Flushed Away by Mijic

Level 7 : 300/600, 600 ante

A raise to 1,700 was in front of Ondrej Lon on the button and the player in the big blind called. Dalibor Mijic then squeezed to 7,400 from under the gun and Lon was the only caller.

On a flop of {Q-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{4-Clubs}, Mijic continued for 9,400 and Lon called with around 17,000 behind. Mijic instantly jammed on the {8-Clubs} turn and Lon called it off to get shown the bad news.

Ondrej Lon: {A-Hearts}{A-Spades}
Dalibor Mijic: {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}

Despite having the best of it preflop, Lon was already drawing dead and that made the {10-Diamonds} river a formality.
