Pavlyuchuk Makes A Gigantic Laydown

Level 30 : 60,000/120,000, 0 ante
Oleg Pavlyuchuk
Oleg Pavlyuchuk

Oleg Pavlyuchuk raised to 330,000 in the small blind with {K-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{10-Spades} and Hanh Tran defended with {K-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{7-Spades}{5-Spades}. The {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{9-Spades} flop came straight out of a movie: Pavlyuchuk flopped an open-ended straight flush draw to go along with his wrap and jacks, while Tran caught trip queens with two spade blockers, making him a slight favorite to win the hand.

The Latvian came out blasting with a bet of 505,000 and Tran went all in over the top. Pavlyuchuk had a decision for his remaining 1,715,000 and decided to lay it down after thinking for nearly two minutes.
