Gergely Bartos Eliminated in 10th Place (€7,042)

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante
Gergely Bartos
Gergely Bartos

Gergely Bartos on the button and Quan Zhou in the small blind both invested 240,000 to the {Q-Spades}{5-Spades}{2-Clubs} flop and it was obvious that the remaining 69,000 of Bartos would go in. This indeed happened and he was in dire shape against Zhou.

Gergely Bartos: {K-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}
Quan Zhou: {A-Spades}{A-Hearts}{J-Spades}{5-Clubs}

Zhou was miles ahead with his pair of aces and the nut flush draw, while Bartos had to hope for a runner runner miracle. It was all over after the {3-Spades} turn, which made the {6-Spades} river a formality. All remaining nine players are now taking a 20-minute break, then redraw to the unofficial final table and continue until there are just eight hopefuls remaining.

Bartos Left Short After Norden Double; Rezaei Cracks Aces

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante

Gergely Bartos raised first to act and called the pot-sized three-bet by Alexander Norden on the button. On the {Q-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} flop, Bartos check-shoved into a 360,000 bet by Norden and the Swede called.

Alexander Norden: {A-Clubs}{A-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{3-Spades}
Gergely Bartos: {10-Spades}{9-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{6-Hearts}

The aces held up on the {2-Diamonds} turn and {7-Diamonds} river to make Norden a chip millionaire. However, the fortune of the Swede barely lasted a minute as he took on Daniel Rezaei and Bartos in consecutive hands.

Rezaei doubled for 307,000 with {K-Spades}{K-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{7-Clubs} versus {A-Spades}{A-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} on a board of {J-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{3-Clubs} and Bartos doubled for some five big blinds with {K-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} versus {A-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} after turning quads on {K-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{K-Spades}{9-Clubs}.

Norden Flops Straight; Doubles

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante

Ilya Bulychev raised to 50,000 on the button and was called by Alexander Norden in the big blind. Norden checked the {J-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} flop and Blychev bet 75,000, Norden check-raised all in for 221,000 and Bulychev reluctantly called.

Alexander Norden: {J-Spades}{10-Spades}{7-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}
Ilya Bulychev: {A-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{8-Hearts}

The {4-Spades} turn and {Q-Clubs} river run out let Norden double.

His countryman Ludvig Sterner battled with Anson Tsang in a three-bet pot to the {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{8-Spades} and fired a bet of 330,000 with few chips behind. Tsang gave it some thought but eventually ended up folding.

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante

Alexander Norden raised to 53,000 on the button and Ilya Bulychev called in the big blind. On the {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} flop, Bulychev check-raised from 40,000 to 120,000 and Norden called. Bulychev then bet the pot on the {8-Clubs} turn and Norden sent his cards into the muck.

Over on the other table, Gisle Olsen won a three-way pot on the flop, then took on Jason Gray. The flop came {5-Clubs}{3-Spades}{2-Clubs} and Gray check-shoved into a bet of 85,000 by Olsen, who surrendered when facing the jam for 267,000 in total.

Bulychev Pulls Further Ahead

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante

Quan Zhou made it 56,000 to go first to act and he was called by chip leader Ilya Bulychev in the small blind. On the {Q-Spades}{J-Hearts}{7-Spades} flop, Bulychev checked and called a bet worth 41,000. The {9-Hearts} on the turn was checked through and the {6-Spades} appeared on the river.

Bulychev checked once more, Zhou bet 130,000 and the Russian mulled over his decision before making the call. Zhou tabled {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}{K-Spades}{5-Diamonds} for a pair of kings and Bulychev had that beat with {A-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{10-Hearts}{8-Spades} for a flush.

Another Double for Rezaei

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante

Daniel Rezaei raised to 70,000 from the hijack immediately after he doubled up, putting over fifty percent of his stack in the middle. Big blind Alexander Norden took him up on the challenge and raised to put Rezaei all in. He called and they opened up.

Daniel Rezaei: {10-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}
Alexander Norden: {Q-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{3-Clubs}
