Devaux Finds a Double Up on Akok

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Ali Akok raised from the button to 14,000 and Christophe Devaux pushed all in for 56,000. Akok made the call after the blinds folded.

It was a typical flip situation, Akok holding {8-Hearts}{8-Spades} against {a-Spades}{k-Spades} for Devaux, who found a board {q-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{5-Spades} to double up with two pair.

Svilicic Busts With Aces

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Josip Svilicic raised first to act and was called by Andrii Vakaliuk and Steven Lamb in the big blind. On the {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{6-Hearts} flop, Lamb checked and Svilicic bet 25,000, Vakaliuk called and Lamb also came along,

The {7-Spades} fell on the turn and Lamb checked once more, Svilicic moved all in and that forced out Vakaliuk. Lamb snap-called and the cards were tabled.

Josip Svilicic: {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}
Steven Lamb: {k-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}

The {4-Clubs} on the river was a blank and that sent Svilicic to the rail with the words "I knew it."

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante
David "ODB" Baker
David "ODB" Baker

Dragos Trofimov raised to 35,000 with few chips behind and David "ODB" Baker moved all in from the big blind, which Trofimov called.

Dragos Trofimov: {a-Clubs}{10-Spades}
David "ODB" Baker: {a-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}

The kicker played on a board of {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{q-Clubs} to let Trofimov double.

Down to around 60,000, Baker jammed the next hand out of the small blind and Hafthor Hlynsson called from the big blind.

David "ODB" Baker: {q-Hearts}{6-Hearts}
Hafthor Hlynsson: {a-Spades}{5-Diamonds}

The board came {k-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{8-Hearts} and Baker failed to connect, hitting the rail before the first break of the day and not far off the money bubble.
