Chen Cripples Lagergren

Level 6 : 300/600, 0 ante

Zhong Chen and Jim Lagergren were in the small and big blind respectively, with a {10-Hearts}{7-Spades}{7-Diamonds} flop. Sergei Verkhoturov and Jochen Kaiser were in the pot too, both from middle position. Chen checked and Lagergren checked, Verkhoturov bet 2,000, Kaiser and Chen called with Lagergren shoving all in.

Only Chen called him and the two players opened their cards.

Jim Lagergren: {9-Spades}{8-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{5-Spades}
Zhong Chen: {10-Spades}{8-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{6-Clubs}

Chen had flopped a full house while Lagergren had trip sevens. The {5-Hearts} in the turn and the {2-Spades} in the river didn't change anything and Chen doubled up.

Viard Eliminates Kollmann

Level 6 : 300/600, 0 ante

Erich Kollmann raised from the button and Alexandre Viard called him from the big blind.

The flop came {a-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} and Viard check-raised to 4,000 after Kollmann made a continuation bet for 1,600.

Kollmann called and the {8-Diamonds} appeared in the turn. This time Viard bet 6,500 and Kollmann called again.

The {8-Hearts} completed the board on the river and Viard went all in, with Kollmann putting 9,000 chips he had behind. Viard opened {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{4-Spades} for a full house while Kollmann had {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{7-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} and departed from the event.

Rivas Returns With a Double Up

Level 6 : 300/600, 0 ante

Jose Rivas doubled up shortly after he re-entered the event and now has 68,000 chips.

In the hand he was in the big blind against Bartolomiej Staszczak in the small blind and the board had {10-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{3-Spades}. Staszczak bet 7,000 and Rivas called, with the dealer opening the {a-Diamonds} as the last hand of the board.

This time Staszczak checked and Rivas put the rest of his chips in the middle, approximately 19,000. Staszczak called and mucked when he saw Rivas open {j-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} for a rivered straight.
