Delfoco on Crumbs After Losing a Flip

Level 8 : 300/600, 600 ante

Francesco Delfoco raised it up in early position and Roman Motovsky shipped all in for 21,600 in the cutoff. Robert Campbell gave it some thought from the big blind but decided to fold. Delfoco quickly made the call and the cards were tabled.

Roman Motovsky: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}
Francesco Delfoco: {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}

It was a classic coin flip and Motovsky took the lead on the {a-Clubs}{j-Spades}{3-Spades} flop. The turn was the {k-Clubs} to improve him to two pair and the {4-Clubs} was a brick on the river. Motovosky doubled up and Delfoco was left with less than 4,000 chips.

Viard Scores a Double Up

Level 8 : 300/600, 600 ante

Alexandre Viard quickly found himself down to less than 10,000 chips after being one of the latest to register the tournament thus far. After a couple of limps, Viard shoved all in for 9,400 in middle position. Vincenzo Vollaro called from the big blind and the limpers folded.

Alexandre Viard: {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}
Vincenzo Vollaro: {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}

Viard had his opponent pipped and the flop of {10-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} all but earned him the victory. The {2-Hearts} on the turn sealed the deal and Viard scored a double up.

Stumpf Flops Two Pair

Level 9 : 400/800, 800 ante

Pierre Stangl raised it up from early position and was called by Frank Stumpf in the big blind. The flop came {a-Clubs}{j-Spades}{9-Clubs} and Stumpf check-called a bet of 3,000 from Stangl.

The turn was the {8-Diamonds} and Stumpf checked again. Stangl tossed in another bet of 4,200 and Stumpf stuck around to see the {7-Hearts} on the river. Both players knuckled the table with four cards to a straight on the board and Stumpf flipped over {a-Hearts}{j-Clubs} for two pair to win the pot.

Vrubel With Another Big Hand

Level 9 : 400/800, 800 ante

Shraga Vrugel opened to 3,300 from under the gun and the action folded around to Lubos Kopecky in the big blind who jammed all in for just over 15,000. Vrugel quickly called to put Kopecky at risk.

Shraga Vrubel: {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}
Lubos Kopecky: {a-Spades}{9-Spades}

The flop of {7-Hearts}{6-Spades}{5-Hearts} gave Kopecky a straight draw along with his one over card. However, the {7-Clubs} on the turn and the {5-Spades} on the river both paired the board and Vrubel held on for another win.

Paschmann Hits the River

Level 9 : 400/800, 800 ante

The action folded to Rinat Tulepbergenov on the button who made it 2,000 to go. Dieter Kramar and Kevin Paschmann both called in the blinds. The flop fell {9-Spades}{4-Clubs}{2-Spades} and the action checked around to the {9-Diamonds} on the turn.

The blinds checked again and Tulepbergenov tossed in a bet of 3,500. Kramar folded but Paschmann called to see the {a-Diamonds} on the river. Paschmann checked again and Tulepbergenov bet another 6,500. Paschmann instantly called and turned over {a-Spades}{10-Diamonds} for the winning hand.
