Trofimov Loses With Jacks to Jacks

Level 22 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

[Removed:510] raised to 80,000 in the hijack and Christian Rudolph pushed all in for 1,050,000 on the button, which Trofimov called for around 800,000.

[Removed:510]: {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}
Christian Rudolph: {j-Clubs}{j-Hearts}

What was deemed to be a split pot in the vast majority of the outcomes received a twist on the {q-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{5-Hearts} flop as Rudolph was freerolling with his heart flush draw.

The {q-Diamonds} turn changed nothing yet but the {2-Hearts} on the river gave Rudolph the winning flush and sent Trofimov to the rail in 28th place.

Baker Flushes Luetkemeier Out

Level 22 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Philipp Luetkemeier
Philipp Luetkemeier

The action was folded to David "ODB" Baker on the button and grabbed a tower of blue chips, representing the biggest part of his stack, to put them in the middle. Philipp Luetkemeier was on the big blind and announced all in as soon as he peaked at his cards, and Baker put the rest of his stack in the pot to call.

Philipp Luetkemeier: {9-Hearts}{9-Spades}
David "ODB" Baker: {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}

The flop didn't leave many hopes to Luetkemeier, with the {q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} giving the nut flush to Baker. He was hoping for some runner-runner cards to improve to a full house in order to survive, but neither the {8-Diamonds} on the turn nor the {2-Spades} on the river helped him and he departed for a €26,986 payday.

Sammartino Scores a Double KO

Level 22 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Alex Foxen
Alex Foxen

Alex Foxen ripped all in for 630,000 in the cutoff and Georgios Vrakas re-shoved all in for 1,375,000 on the button. Dario Sammartino was in the big blind and asked for a count of the stacks before making the call.

Dario Sammartino: {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}
Georgios Vrakas: {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs}
Alex Foxen: {a-Spades}{9-Diamonds}

The crowd gathered around the table to witness the monster pot as the dealer fanned the flop. The {q-Hearts} in the window got a reaction from Vrakas but it was quickly followed by the {10-Diamonds}{2-Spades}.

"Nooooo!" Vrakas shouted as Sammartino's set of tens was well out front. The {a-Hearts} landed on the turn and the {8-Diamonds} completed the board to give Sammartino even more chips.

Jan-Peter Jachtmann: {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}
Enrico Camosci: {a-Spades}{j-Hearts}

The flop of {10-Spades}{3-Clubs}{2-Clubs} favored Jachtmann with the overpair. The {k-Clubs} landed on the turn to give Jachtmann a set of kings. The {2-Hearts} completed the board and Camosci was eliminated in 21st place.

Deniz Dogan: {2-Spades}{2-Diamonds}

Charbel Salloum Eliminated in 19th Place (€31,975)

Level 24 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Charbel Salloum
Charbel Salloum

Charbel Salloum opened to 125,000 out of a total stack of 1,130,000 and Daniel Rezaei in the big blind moved all in, Salloum called it off and was the player at risk in a classic flip.

Charbel Salloum: {7-Hearts}{7-Spades}
Daniel Rezaei: {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}

The {5-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{2-Hearts} flop gave Rezaei a gutshot and he immediately got there with the {4-Hearts} turn. Salloum still had outs with his flush draw and a six would make the better straight. However, the blank {4-Clubs} river was not what he was looking for and Salloum exited in 19th place for €31,975.

Level 24 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Karol Konopka
Karol Konopka

Karol Konopka was short for the biggest part of the day, finding double ups whenever he needed them most. However, in a hand that he was a big favorite to double up again, he suffered a bad beat when he shoved from the button after Christian Rudolph's open first to act. The rest of the table folded and Rudolph called for the most classic cooler of poker.

Karol Konopka: {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}
Christian Rudolph: {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}

The board was safe for Konopka until the turn with {9-Spades}{7-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} but the {k-Clubs} on the river sent Konopka to the rail for €31,975.
