Puetz Chips Up Early On

Level 1 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Teun Mulder raised to 2,500 from under the gun and was called by Elias Gutierrez in the big blind. On the {a-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{4-Clubs} flop, Gutierrez check-folded to a continuation bet of 1,500 by Mulder.

The next pot featured Mulder and Christopher Puetz in the blinds and the former check-folded the {q-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{2-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} river when Puetz bet 8,000 into 11,500.

Gutierrez opened the next button to 2,000 and Mulder called. Puetz three-bet to 17,000 in the big blind and Mulder was the only caller. Both checked down the {j-Hearts}{9-Spades}{8-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{6-Spades} board and Mulder tabled the {7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}, which Puetz had beat with the {8-Hearts}{7-Hearts} for the superior pair.
