Welcome to Day 1a of the 2021 WSOPE Event #2: €550 Pot-Limit Omaha

Tournament Room at King's Resort

The largest poker arena in Europe prepares for the second out of 15 gold bracelet events as part of the 2021 World Series of Poker Europe. As of 6pm local time, Day 1a of Event #2: €550 Pot-Limit Omaha will get underway at the King's Resort in Rozvadov. Four card aficionados from near and far will enter the fray in pursuit of the most coveted jewellery in the world of poker.

A guaranteed prize pool of €200,000 awaits for this tournament and two starting days are available. The level duration for each of the two starting days is 30 minutes and the current structure includes 18 levels to be played on each Day 1. However, this may change depending on the number of entries and each Day 1 may conclude when 10% of the field has been reached. Late registration and unlimited re-entries are available for the first 12 levels and following break until last 2 am local time.

The defending champion of this event is Dash Dudley, who earned his second gold bracelet back in 2019 after defeating a field of 476 total entries. Dudley participated in the 2021 World Series of Poker in Las Vegas and it seems rather uncertain that he will make the trip to the Czech Republic this time. Notable finalists from two years ago include Chris Back, Paul Teoh, Oshri Lahmani, Anson Tsang and Naor Slobodskoy.

All players will start with 25,000 in chips and the first level features blinds of 100-100 with a big blind ante of 100. The registration closes with blinds of 800-1,600/1,600, last minute entrants thereafter would return to 12 and a half big blinds and a dream.

Stay tuned for the four-card action from Rozvadov as the PokerNews live reporting team will be on the floor from start to finish.
