Schakeri and Penev Knock Out Pop

Level 27 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Cornel-Gabriel Pop was in the big blind with a severe short stack and big blind ante invested. He faced a raise to 100,000 by Schayan Schakeri and a three-bet to 250,000 by Zlatin Penev, after which he called all-in for 175,000 and Schakeri came along.

On the A77 flop, Schakeri check-called for 65,000 and did so again for 250,000 on the 2 turn. The A river was checked as Schakeri was shown the AQ by his table neighbour. Schakeri had a dry smile on the face as his A7 had flopped a full house only to settle for a chop.

In the meanwhile, Pop's tournament ended as he stood no chance with the J9.

Leykauf Beats Bilan in Showdown

Level 28 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Florin Bilan raised to 120,000 in the cutoff and was called by Frank Leykauf in the big blind. Both checked the 876 flop before Leykauf bet the 5 turn for 175,000 and the A river for 165,000. Bilan called both times but mucked when Leykauf revealed 43 for the bottom end of the straight.

The table then broke right after as the field was down to just 47 contestants.

Divnich Triples Up

Level 28 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Yurii Divnich moved all in for his last 175,000 and was immediately met with a call from Frank Leykauf to his left. Christian Ewers then slid his stack into the middle, producing a fold from Leykauf with Divnich at risk.

Yurii Divnich: 99
Christian Ewers: AK

Divnich's pocket pair was flipping, but improved to a set on the 968 flop. The 5 turn and Q river changed nothing, leaving Divnich with the triple up.

Bahri Takes a Pot; Pezzarossa Shoves

Level 28 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

The action has slowed down eventually and more than half of the level is gone without any further casualty, as the field is stuck on 47 hopefuls.

Safwane Bahri was among the short stacks and raised once for almost his entire stack to collect the blinds. He was then in the big blind and Stefan Pezzarossa opened to 120,000. Stephan Glausch made it 425,000 to go but folded when Pezzarossa four-bet jammed.

Bernau Among the Last to Fall

Level 28 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Three players bowed out in quick succession and two of them lost their remaining chips on the same table. Jacek Kaczmarek was the first to vanish followed by Christian Bernau.

It was Bernau who jammed for 415,000 and Zlatin Penev called. Claudiu Descultu then jammed over the top and isolated.

Christian Bernau: A8
Claudiu Descultu: JJ

No ace appeared on the Q22Q3 runout as the field dropped to 44 hopefuls.
