Chris Brewer checked to Teun Mulder on a turn on 7♣J♦8♥6♥. Mulder then added 230,000 chips to the already big pot of 335,000. Brewer made the call and the 5♣ river rolled off.
Brewer spent some time in the tank before front-shipping his stack of 630,000 in the middle. After Mulder took some time of his own to think it over, he put in the call, but mucked his cards once he saw the 10♣9♣ of Brewer open up, for the stone-cold nuts.
Mulder was left with just over 20 big blinds while Brewer soared up the leaderboard to be among the leaders.
