Omar Eljach

Action folded around to the blinds, where Omar Eljach called from from the small blind and Christian Stoyanov checked his option in the big blind.

Eljach check-called an 8,000 bet from Stoyanov on the 10QJ flop and a 26,000 bet from Stoyanov on the K turn.

The A brought a straight on board and Eljach checked once more — prompting a 31,000 bet from Stoyanov. Eljach quickly called and Stoyanov could only show J764 for a bluff. Eljach tabled Q1095 for Broadway and the reigning WSOPE Main Event champion collected the pot.

Lucina Holds with Aces to Chop Down Gerdshikow

Level 21 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Alexander Gerdshikow opened to 21,000 from the hijack and Sebastien Lucina raised to 80,000 from the button. Gershikow responded with a pot-sized four-bet, enough to put Lucina all in for his 251,000 stack. Lucina snap-called and was at risk.

Sebastien Lucina: AAJ5
Alexander Gerdshikow: AKQ2

Lucina was in good shape to double up with his aces but the 872 flop gave Gerdshikow the nut-flush draw to ensure there was a sweat. Lucina faded the 6 turn and 7 river to collect a colossal double up at Gerdshikow's expense.

Khakhula Shoves

Level 20 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Volodymyr Khakhula opened to 18,000 from middle position and was called by August Schlegl in the hijack and Volodymyr Drokin in the big blind.

Drokin checked to Khakhula on the Q4J flop, who continued for a 20,000 bet. Schlegl called and Drokin folded.

Khakhula shoved for approximately 100,000 on the 5 turn, which was enough to get a fold from Schlegl and Khakhula collected the pot without a showdown.

Rodrigues Goes Runner Runner

Level 20 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Michael Rodrigues
Michael Rodrigues

Wiktor Weiner opened to 21,000 from under the gun and Michael Rodrigues called from early position. Levan Rcheulishvili raised to 75,000 from the hijack and Weiner called for less, putting himself all in. Rodrigues also made the call.

The flop came 1074 and Rodrigues moved all in for 161,000. Rcheulishvili called with a covering stack to put Rodrigues at risk.

Wiktor Weiner: AA33
Michael Rodrigues: KQ86
Levan Rcheulishvili: KJ109

All three players had some equity. Weiner had an overpair, Rodrigues had a flush draw and double-gutshot straight draw and Rcheulishvili had top pair, a gutshot and a bigger flush draw. The rest of the board ran out Q6. Rodrigues had missed his flush and straight draws but had made runner runner two pair to take both the main and side pot, eliminating Weiner in the process while taking a huge chunk out of Rcheulishvili's stack.

Tsang Trips Rous up

Level 20 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Yan Shing Tsang
Yan Shing Tsang

Marek Rous opened to 21,000 on the button and was called by Yan Shing Tsang in the big blind.

Tsang check-called a 21,000 bet from Rous on the J43 flop and then both players checked when the 3 fell on the turn.

The 4 completed the board and Tsang fired 35,000 into the middle. Rous decided to look him up and Tsang tabled Q864 for trip fours with a queen kicker. Rous showed he held pocket aces and mucked — awarding the pot to Tsang.

Pliashko Bailed Out on the River

Level 19 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Luc Ramos opened to 12,000 from early position and Ihar Pliashko three-bet to 44,000 from middle position. Marc Eicher four-bet to 150,000 from the hijack, folding out Ramos while Pliashko called off for less to put himself at risk.

Ihar Pliashko: KKJ2
Marc Eicher: AA52

Pliashko was in rough shape with kings against Eicher's aces but picked up some outs on the Q97 flop in the form of a flush draw and gutshot straight draw. The 5 turn was a brick but the 10 river gave Pliashko a king-high straight to crack Eicher's aces and secure a full double up.
